@monkey670 No, it doesn't look like you'll have to. Also, you can get the Super Classic Pack of 3rd alternate costumes for Guile, Blanka, Dhalsim, Gen, and Fei Long for free until July 1st.

thanks for uploading a video with all the latest ultras in it. what makes zangief's new ultra so bad (or good) is that you can lariat, FADC into air ultra (thought it's VERY hard to do dash, jump then 720 I imagine).

Am I right in thinking you pick you preferable ultra before each battle, or do you have access to both during a match? Or is this unknown?

It is a ultra uppercut like everyone expected, it is very much like Gouken's standard ultra (except as you say a change in background colour and such).

Was just hoping for something other than an uppercut that's all :P

I love the concept of the counter Ultras. It adds variety and doesn't make Fei Long into another character that just waits for their Ultra to fill up. Considering the game has tons of delayed two hits (guile's sweep), it won't be as difficult to connect either.

I'm thinking of Fei Long's first Ultra(cammy has some great damaging, cancel combos with her original ultra), and that thing is near to completely useless. If justin wong barely used them in tournaments, I'm fairly sure any different kind of Ultra would be of better use.

@shindean Counter ultras are an interesting idea, but they seem like the kind of thing that can be done either very well or very poorly with no real in-between. It's up to CAPCOM which of the two it will be.

Some of these Ultras, while cool and flashy, honestly last too long. If I am going to have to sit through a cut scene of someone doing an ability to me that can only be done because I was whooping their butts... let's not make it last forever please.
