Camponotus vagus- my first ant specie, my first colony!

I have now read about Camponotus vagus/Herculte/nigperda colonies dying when their colonies reach the 100-200 mark, did you consider ventilation? When a colony gets a certain size it start producing a lot of carbondioxied if the carbadioxied is not vented it will start killing the ants
