1. ALWAYS wear gloves and have good ventilation when using carburetter cleaner. The chemicals in carburetter cleaner are toxic, cancer causing, and are easily absorbed by your skin.
2. Carburetter cleaner can distort rubber o-rings to the point that they can become unuseable. Remove o-rings prior to cleaning with carburetter cleaner.
On my 80 B attached to the box that houses the brake master cylinder and the clutch master cylinder there is a part that has 2 nipples. one nipple faces farward, the other faces up. Two wires come from it. one black, one dark yellow. neither nipple is active. one is open the other capped. what does this part do and where should it go connected. I have a ZS carburetor but have found a used Weber on Ebay that i hope to use.
Two things:

2. Carburetter cleaner can distort rubber o-rings to the point that they can become unuseable. Remove o-rings prior to cleaning with carburetter cleaner.

WOW! I thought a bad 1-2 gear band would cause the overdrive not to engage when the rpm's were dropped.
