It's American storytelling but the animation is done in Korea; the creators of Avatar were inspired by Eastern mythology and legends etc, etc... Hope that clears things up a bit - Oh and the art is done in the manga/anime style (or whatever you want to call it) but it is American.

This is the best song for Avatar...I love it (Avatar, the song, and the video). If there was a theme song for Avatar I'd vote for this one, it really shows what the characters go through and how they grow ^^
