This is one of my favorite films. The score by Mr. Klaus Badelt is magnificet. Sometimes a watch a film again just to see how the score works in the film. doug
wish i had his time machine but i have the same proplem how can i go back in time to save my brothers live he was killed 5 years ago in a house fire.i would only make the machine after he died had he lived my time machine would never be made so how can i go back and save him . it so hard to understand time travel.
@solentgreen2020 Time travel is not a way to be with loved ones, its the harshest reality a time traveller can bare... with such ability, you have to abandon loved ones, as in a matter of minutes on a time machine, their lifetimes would have flashed away. And to see a loved one from the past, isn't the loved one you lost. It's someone else, because you are too. Time is not about growing old, but growing older together. Some leave before us, but we come together again.
This is one of my favorite score of all times. I listen to all the others composers like Hans Zimmer, Alexander Desplat, Danny Elfman, James Horner, John Paul, etc., but Klaus Badelt really hit a home run with this one; great job!!!
i know the stlory had to continue but each time i see this, i wish he just gave him the dam ring!, so she would still be alive!, still this is a suberb movie!, it had meaning, adventure, suspense, action, EVERYTHING!
check itunes they have the soundtrack i love this music....love how it makes me feel and its great music to listion to when your down cuz its just handsdown beautiful music
I wasn't aware of this and didn't make the connection even when I saw the movie on DVD. The start of the music is almost identical to Jerry Goldsmith's main theme for 'The Edge', which is on YouTube as well.
WOW!!! You know, I had never saw this film until the other day. When I heard the soundtrack something came over me. Goose bumps! It was a feeling that I hadnt had since I first saw Cutthroat Island and became blown away by Debneys score. This is a very special soundtrack. Its a pity that they havent expanded it, as the running times on the cd seen a little short.
THis compilation of the score and the video clips are by far among the best. I love it. If you have the version of this that you made, Laura, could you please send it to me? I played this video the entire holiday season as background music/video on my home theatre. Every one of my gueses loved it.
not really, posting video or audio is a violation. Sometimes they don't mind that much, they haven't complained about this yet. I think it helps sell their product :)
i don't think that it's illegal to make video like this in youtube xD btw youtube wouldn't be so popular if everyone would just film themselves something and use own music. and this really makes peoples to bu that movie i think that at least 100 peoples have buy it because this so Klaus Badelt or someone would be just happy for that
It technically is a copyright violation. I have had several videos pulled due to complaints from the copyright owners. Youtube is involved in a hefty lawsuit over copyright issues. Just depends on how aggressively the copyright holders protect their stuff.
yeah, but youtube spent over 700 Million per year for lawyers and costs cause auf these copyrights. If Youtube allow you to upload this, youtube gets the trouble.
You are on the safe side,... as long youtube don´t try to do something against you. they only delete the videos, or delete the soundfile.
@LauraWhitehead1 Here we have the happy implications of the 14th amendment:
"nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws".
Giving rise to the simple problem of how to enforce "equal protection"? Money becomes the power by which the powerful beat everyone else into the ground. They have the money to do it. The rich get more powerful. The rest become powerless. I've lost (I don't know ??? ) north of a million $ because I had no means of practical recourse.
1% in the US hold 85% of all stocks. The top 400 have more net worth than the bottom 50% - that is 155 million people. There is something seriously wrong here. We must find a way to make things work or the winds of revolution will start blowing. I think your discussion here on copyright is interesting. It is not just an academic abstraction. The inequity is a huge huge problem! More than 3 Billion people live on less than $5 a day. Around 2 billion live on less than $2.
That's from track 1, the Professor Alexander Hartdegen theme. The soundtrack should be readily available, there is so much more I think you would love it.
thanks yea i do the music is so cla i have elio stone laughgue the time machence were are the gost i dnt belong here and godspeed but i really want this one well thank any way great video by the wy
Did this score snag an Oscar? It should have. Incredible.

Funny fact: Klaus Badelt once started as a trainee of Hans Zimmer.
It seems Hans isn't just a great composer, but also a great mentor.
