Google Santana 20th anniversary celebration. Some live tracks of this show are on the Viva Santana 2 disc set. I went to the Sunday show, Aug 17th 1986. It was great seeing them all together, at the end of the show there were 25 people on stage, including Buddy Miles.

i love carlos but to say he owns neal schon is a silly statement to make. theyre both superb. only reason carlos might sound better on this track is cos the song is more suited to his sunburst. neal is quicker though.

@margix Are we watching the same concert ???!! Carlos owns Neal TOTALLY in this clip. So much better sound and soloing that Neil. Don't get me wrong - Neil is not a bad player - certainly knows his shredding and plays fast. However, speed doesn't do it. He has no way near the sound and feel in his solos that Carlos does. This is unfortunately the general problem with a lot of the fast players / shredders out there. A lot of speed but no feel. Carlos still has his signature tone.

Both Carlos and Neil are wondeful melodic players and I love them both,but on this vid Neal owns Carlos
