White clothes stain easily, so it showed a certain skill level if a capoeirista could play and keep their pants clean. (Traditionally not much of your body should touch the floor while playing capoeira- pretty much just hands and feet would have touched the floor). If your clothes were dirty, others could tell that you had taken a fall. That is my understanding of it at least.

its not only tradition white means "like angel" and when u see doing all those acrobat moves and this stuff it like they almost flying like angels :)

whats the reason capoeira fighters/dancers wear white i have seen like 40 videos of capoeira and mostly all of them wear the white pants and white shirts

@Thundersly I cant be sure because i'm not a capoeira artist, but most styles of martial arts wear white to represent purity of the art...
