  • i actually thought the exact opposite. I almost walked out because i thought the first 30 minutes were a colossal mess but after i stayed i fell in love with the movie.

  • you look like you are mad mother fucker, i think the last time you saw a pussy was when you looked into a mirror

  • You're CRAZY and STUPID and I LOVEd this movie :P A+ for me!

  • You obviously wouldn't know a good movie if it smacked you up side your head! Get a clue!

  • Now you can watch this best video in HQ FREE at crazystupidlove$net/ (replace $ with dot)

  • hahaha woow bullsht you predicted this movie...this movie was as realistic as it gets...I guess you want more of those terrible terribly PREDICTABLE romantic movies that are anything but realsitic. Go watch your stupid Adam sandler movies. those cant get any more predictable...

  • I kind of agree with him. I mean the only best thing in the movie was the teacher surprise and the part where everyone meets everyone. And I believe that The young boy and the babysitter thing was ridiculous. It didn't make any sense..

  • Richard I think your crazy this movie was anything but predictable and I loved it

  • Fair points.

  • i agree that the babysitter side plot was creepy but this movie was fantastic it was funny and extremely entertaining the speech was a tad corny but i think this film deserves a A or at least a B C+ is way to harsh

  • @baltimoreravens4evr THis movie was actualy great UNTIL they total ruined it and made it into a "Threes Company" episode with the scene in the back yard. From that point on the direction of the movie was unfocused, and the 8th grade graduation speech scene was TERRIBLE.

Movie should have ended in the back yard with the husband getting back with the wife, and the accepting revelation of Emma stone being the daughter dating Jacob.

Great first half. HORRIBLE second half that ruins it.

  • That's why I watch Schmoes Knows movie reviews because he is to high brow for me. I used to like Roper on the T.V. show but he seems mean to some movies now that he does his reviews alone.

  • nice break down of the show

  • Great review

  • 1:30. He said "Jacob and Emma [referring to the actress]" instead of "Jacob and Hanna." Small mistake, whatever.

  • No "Smurfs" review?! I wonder why...

  • Also, your review sounds more like a C-, D+, D review. You seem to do that a lot, no offense. Really bash a film, and then give it a C- or something. Your "Mars Needs Moms" review sounded like a D review, when you gave it a C-. This review is at least a C- grade. Still Roeper, I love your reviews.

  • What a critique...

  • A C+? This review came off more like a C- or maybe even a D+. The way Richard was going off on the movie, it really seemed like he hated it.

  • a) The first thing that upsets me about this video is there was no graphic that said "C+".

    b) I'll probably see it with some female friends who just want to see Ryan Gosling with no shirt while I just want to see Emma Stone.

  • I really liked this movie. Definitely Steve Carell's best movie so far, Ryan Gosling was hilarious, Emma Stone is cute as ever, and I really liked the major twist towards the end. But I can understand where you're coming from with the creepy subplot and the fact that Gosling's character never runs out of chicks to take home.

I would give this a B, but then again I don't get paid for people to hear my opinion! Haha, loved the review. C+ is a pretty solid score.
