I definitely don't regret what I did because it forced me to address some issues I would have otherwise continued to ignore. I don't enjoy being an amputee but I don't really mind it either, because I'm young and agile I have adapted quite well. I think if I'd been a quad I would have offed myself in the hospital because I like being able to to everything for myself, and I wouldn't have been able to (at least straight away) if I'd lost both arms.
