Oh, and the comment about Rick Perry's polls about to increase after his "Strong" ad is hilarious. It's good to know that both Perry and this daft pundit above managed to eat their foot.
Wrong. She said that we're prefer not to see any religions, and that we wouldn't settle for all. I would prefer to convince people to abandon superstitions, but if they must believe it, I'd rather see every faith represented. The problem is, as John Stuart said, the Christians don't want 'equal' representation, but rather 'superior' representation.
Our country does not follow "case law" we follow a "constitutional form of government" and the blatant disregard for the 1st amendment by saying "the words separation of church and state aren't in there" does not change the fact that the words "Congress shall pass no law respecting establishment of religion"..not "A" religion not "ONE" religion, just religion, and using religious imagery on property that is paid for by EVERYONE speaks to the government establishing RELIGION! This is simple.
"Don't get between Texas baptist preachers and the baby Jesus..."
Is that because the "Doll" is smarter than they are or that the establishment clause is too complex for their little theocratic brains? Either way it's not a compliment.
It is not a war on christianity or religion. It is a war on the preferential endorsement of religions by the government. Put your displays up everywhere on private property but government owned property must not respect one religion over another.
It's kind of funny. Christians put their symbols on GOVERNMENT PROPERTY (bringing up Constitutional issues), and if atheists say anything, Fox News throws a hissy fit. But if atheists take out an ad or billboard with their message - which is COMPLETELY legal - guess what...Fox News throws a fit. Fox News and their peers aren't interested in rights. They want their religion (Christianity) and no other (except MAYBE Judaism, for Zionist reasons) to get airtime.
Oh wow, whyyyyyy! Why are people still this dumb, if I hear war on Christmas or that we want no religion at all, I will start punchin baby jesus, roundhouse kick the wisemen, then set the manger on fire.
@4me2cclearly Fox News clearly got it right... there is plenty of evidence that something is terribly wrong with the world at large...and that evidence is backed up with the atheists war on God.
As long as there is equal space for all religions, and for those that have none. Then I have no problems with that. Just try not to shove your Jebus crap on everyone. I mean come on. How drunk do you have to be before the "I'm GOD!" line works anyway?
@4me2cclearly War on what? God...all that is good comes from God goodness, love, kindness, charity. Personal responsibilty moral and ethical standards are rapidly eroding..the family and the home is being attacked as never..children are growing without a father to guide them and many don't even know who thier father is.
This is not a war of flesh/blood but a war against our spiritual connection to God..don't kid yourself. This war began even before the world was.
History may be laden with violence ... but when a "holy" book insists on death for a rape victim who fails to shout out loudly enough or that a rape victim marry her rapist (and has at least two egregious examples of whoring out women) then says, "believe in this and you're saved" rather than suggest the slightest degree of self-responsibility, I have a problem, not to mention the numerous contradictions contained within its pages.

War on what? Your imaginary friend?
I think not. That would be silly.
It's like me having a war with bigfoot.

Water to wine. Ya. I bet.

Texas preachers & Baby Jesus - kind of same setup as catolic priests and their altar boys: unhealthy.
