by emo core, you mean post hard core. or metal core. crosses between hardcore punk and metal. or hardcore punk that was influenced by bands like the refused...
"emo" is a term used to diminish a group of people and how they choose to present themselves. thats the same as labelling someone as a bro. correct terminology is important if you wanna act like you know something
@JAYmurder100 No. the term "emo" has been around since the late 80's it was a way to seperate from the 80's so called metal and heavy rock groups. The band rites of spring and cap n jazz were the first to coin the term "emo" in the late 80's. An emo song would basically have slow melodic type vocals and lead into a hard screaming type chorus. EXAMPLE: knapsack, get up kids. It has nothing to do with these faggets in tight pants and make up you see kissing eachother at the malls these days.
for those of you who are noobs. Thursdays release of "full collapse" created a musical revolution bringing "emo core" to the the mainstream and opening doors for later bands like Underoath, and the receiving ends of sirens to achieve fulll commercail success.

Don't know the band well. But seems like they have a good potential to bring rock music to the front again, if they will change the lead singer and the producer.

Very true. Thrice, Thursday and AFI paved the way for a lot of hardcore.

Thursday are legends, they basically made screamo what it is now. They do not need to change anything.
