But I look at great jumpers like tfb and they all have huge differences in ther standing an running vert. Tdub, Troy and Area 51 (short like me) have 40+ standing but close to 50 running. I honest thing I am just one that would maintain a significant difference. I my standing vert went up so would my running. My though is that some just have better jump mechanics to store more energy on the run. Some peoples jump mechanics don't really change with running which is why the don't get higher.
My legs are actually pretty strong. On a smith machine I can squat 305 lbs (to parallel squads) and I only weigh 166 lbs. As a youth (33yr now) I had a 42+ running vert and about a 34"+ standing. And there was now way I could squat anything then.
if you already have a good difference between your running jump and standing jump it means you have reactive power. So you should focus on building strength while maintaining good reactive power (plyometrics). thats what im doing now.
i'm like 6'3 w/o shoes now, i think my standing reach is 8'3" now
i don't think i know anyone with an 8'5" reach besides 3 centers that i know and even then they're all like 8'6 and all of them are around 6'7 with shoes
what the hell is with this music?

Only a 3" difference between stand and running. That's how most are. I an difference because I have an 8-10 diffence between my standing an running.

The music is kinda goofy. But hey, why not, you know? Anyway, I was wondering if you play HS ball and plan on going to college or anything.
