Yo L98's are 350's with injection systems. The predecessor of the Lt1 Ls1 ls6 and now ls7. Put in corvettes from 85-92 and in irocs from 87-92. this ant a L98
I own an 87 corvette with an L98 Tuned Port Injection engine...Thats where I got that info from. Unless GM relabels the engines in overseas use...I still say they are not the same...I think you may mean L89...Not L98
the L76 and L98 are nowhere near the same engine...The L98's were available in 85-91 Corvettes...and similar year camaros and firebirds...Your engine appears to be out of the LSX family...Very different
Where did you get that information from ? you better recheck it as the L98 was released in late 05 7 the L98 & L76 were identical engines, the difference was L76 had DOD ....
the l98s were tpi and a distributor motor not coil pack that in the video is an ls2
scoumis 7 months ago
@scoumis Bzzzz, Wrong, the L98 uses Coilpacks, you are thinking of the 1985 L98 (L98 Corvette). This motor is a L76, Gen IV, but no, not a LS2

L98 are 364 6L not 346 5.7 like the LS1/LS6
US obviously used the same prefix for an earlier motor
GMMAD 2 years ago
I stand corrected...were both right...GM has reused the L98 moniker for an LSx family engine as well
