Weiner Does Not Get It!
1. Competition. Allow insurance companies to sell products nationwide. This increases pool of payers.
2. Get the lawyers out of the doctors offices. Decreases silly tests.
3. Require elected officials and Federal workers to become part of "public" option. They wouldn't stand for this, just like their very rewarding retirement plans.
None of this will every happen because it would result in smaller government and less power focused in Washington.

Weiner Does Not Get It!
1. Competition. Allow insurance companies to sell products nationwide. This increases pool of payers.
2. Get the lawyers out of the doctors offices. Decreases silly tests.
3. Require elected officials and Federal workers to become part of "public" option. They wouldn't stand for this, just like their very rewarding retirement plans.
None of this will every happen because it would result in smaller government and less power focused in Washington.

Look at it this way instead: The public option will give the public a clue about what the costs for healthcare really is.
Besides, government run healthcare works excellent in many countries including the happiest and the richest in the world such as the Scandinavian countries in Europe.
Some of the arguments in this video also had me wondering how the American people see military expenses because to me expenses paid towards an illegal war should be more worrisome than cheaper healthcare.

Dems are trying to clean up the 8 1/2 year mess that your party largely created. Let them do their job and if you don't want public insurance, then don't use it! Meanwhile, there are a bunch of uninsured citizens that will take advantage of a public plan that caters to their needs better than the private sector. Fact is, there's no one holding private insurance accountable when they screw people over and there's currently nowhere else to turn for healthcare. A public option will suit both needs.
