Damn, the scene in the tram is so long without any cuts. That really takes an effort on the actors part. Imagine if they mess something up 5 min into the scene and they have to do it all over again, with the same intensity and sponteinity as if things were being said for the first time.

Acting must be really hard, lol. At least in films like this.

This is excruciating. I love Ethan Hawke, but the acting with Delpy sux. I can't feel the chemistry, the script is woeful, the flirtation is stilted and contrived. They don't seem focussed at all on the acting. Was this after his divorce from Uma? I'll persevere with it to the end and hopefully will change my mind by then and see what you all see. At least the locations are lovely.

In a way, this movie is similar to Jesse's idea for a public access television show about normal people. This movie shows normal people having extraordinary moments together (even though it's not real). It's funny how the fact that this movie so normal makes it so good.

I love this movie so much, but for some reason Jesse irritated me when he asked her the "sexual feelings" question with that accent. I guess it was because I couldn't understand the reason for it. But, if he was, indeed, imitating Freud, then it makes sense.
