No disrespect intended. This was a great game. But the greatest basketball game ever played was the 1976 NBA Finals Game 5 - Boston Garden - Boston defeats Phoenix in 3 overtimes. The game featured several players who would be future coaches including Paul Westphal whose heads-up timeout near the end of the second overtime (a timeout that they didn't have) not only allowed them to tie the game and live for overtime #3 but led to a rule change (known by some as the Paul Westphal rule).

Watched the whole thing LIVE when it happened. I am an alumnus and fan of an ACC school, so my school and our conference rivals have a hell of a tradition, but this....this was the greatest game of college basketball ever played.

actually, the music makes this great! There are other clips that just show the highlights, but this adds another layer to the madness of that night! One of my favorites!

I was SCREAMING at my TV when Devendorf threw that elbow on Adrien at 3:24 and they didn't call anything. Only way this game could have been better is if UConn had won. Still the best game I've ever seen.

price foolishly took at least 3 nba threes for no reason and uconn also needlessly took a half court shot at the end of ot #1

price and uconn still played well but they had so many other chances to win.
