This video is ignoring the greatest censorship of all. YouTube blocked my videos (a mash-up on global warming) claiming copyright. I filled out YouTube's dispute form asking for what copyright I infringed, because I used material freely available online. Months later, there is no response from Google/YouTube.
My point: This media giant is not censoring this video because this video is distracting you from the actual content being hidden.
This video names YouTube and Google as part of the problem and yet here we are, on Google's YouTube website. This video did not get censored. YouTube has no problem sharing videos containing obscene words or morally offensive content.
Censorship is so perverse, that most of the world is asleep to the content that is actually being censored.
Question: How do you search for videos online that are not hosted on mainstream sites? Like embedded .flv or .mp4 files on independent sites?

The video says, that Germany is filtering sites that deny the holocaust. While it is true that denying the holocaust in Germany is forbidden under threat of punishment and every server in Germany with such information has to shut down, I don't think there is anything like a firewall or filter that would prevent anyone from accessing such information on servers in other countries.

@ervin920 generations before internet were also messed up, it just wasn't out there(shown) as much as it is now. Internet is not the only thing blame. There are other bigger factors. I do however agree with you that internet shouldn't be shut down. It violates our personal freedom and our right to know the truth. my opinion.

Censorship will be progressive For example today Jewtube and Jew Google control most of the flow of information. As Jew media, they present just the side of the history they want.
They close dissent accounts that reach huge numbers of audience; they ask for your private details (as private phone) in a way of intimidation.
They are going for more control, im glad that China censor google, cause Google is not the internet, no matter how hard they try.

While it's bad to over censor things that shouldn't be like common information and political/religious views... sorry, but not everything should be accessible via internet like copyrighted videos that get uploaded to youtube without the owners permission... amongst many things. Hey, I enjoy watching tons of videos on here, but I'd be pissed if I was the one loosing money from it. :)

The only internet censorship I support is against jihadist websites, certain information such as bomb making technieques and hardcore porn. Everything else should be free for all to see.

The video says, that Germany is filtering sites that deny the holocaust. While it is true that denying the holocaust in Germany is forbidden under threat of punishment and every server in Germany with such information has to shut down, I don't think there is anything like a firewall or filter that would prevent anyone from accessing such information on servers in other countries.
If you have more secure information about this please let me know.

Mainland China (PRC) claims that the island of Taiwan belongs to them, and many people on Taiwan, which is actually governed by a non-Communist Chinese government (ROC), want Taiwan to change its name to the Republic of Taiwan, not the Republic of China since the ROC pretty much consists of just Taiwan. The Chinese Communists on the mainland don't like this because they claim that they own Taiwan and thus don't want "Taiwan" in the country's name.

the communist party governing the mainland has lost much of it's so-called ideals, only to give way to capitalism... the reason why it's become slightly more lenient is to remain in power, yet the bulk of it's system is brutish and far-fetching... personally i would like taiwan to reunite with the mainland, but with ROC leadership... differences epitomised by Mao and Chiang need to be shed, instead focusing on common grounds, as put forward by Dr. Sun...
