i still cant believe they didnt took clive owen as max payne..when i first saw him in sin city I thought "heyy,thats guy they modeled max payne (MP2) after"..then shot em up came out.. i rly believed it was that guy..but then..finally they do a MP movie based on a game thats based on film-noir scenarios and action movies..and they fuckin cast mark "2expressions" whalberg..and delete all the nice bullet-tme sequences... how could they screw this up..

I liked the movie I thought it was decent, but it was very boring, but I also played the game and really didn't care much for that either. Idk I just thought that the game actually didn't have much storyline compared to the movie, and the movie had more twists and stuff, the game just seemed to cheesy and unrealistic. Plus whats up with his smile? The whole game he has a gay ass smirk. Anyway nice vid it would have been better movie if they followed the game more with story, I guess

I just saw the actual Max Payne and I thought it was slow. Sure, it got the atmosphere right and it had a few good sequences, but there wasn't enough going on to hide it's often times laughable dialogue. I'd say that overall it was sort of boring and unable to live up to this franchise's true potential.

True, but my concern isn't about Ludacris' acting ability, or even Mila's. it's about the tenuous nature of the story according to the filmmakers, like all they need are the names of characters to sell it. Ludacris described the script as 'Better then the game's story' which also worries me.

yes that is a little concerning, but we all have to remember that video game movies have some things altered in the storyline. so we are gonna have to accept the fact that some things are going to be changed because max payne was a huge story with many different sub plots and things. but that dosent mean the story will be so terrible.

and maybe thats what he mans by better. that some things have been reworked a lil bit to make it better to put on screen,

Making fake trailers is practically all I can do with what i've got right now. It looks weird because I put in a water color filter to make the clips appear more like the comic pages from the game.

The real movie is coming in 2010. A long time, but if I could wait for Manhunt 2, I can wait for Max Payne. Someone is currently making aa independent film in the UK for a Mak Payne: Payne and Redemption movie.

Payne and Redemption looks interesting, but none of the character except Max look right (Vlad's played by a big dude!) Hopefully the Walberg movie will rely on psychology and noir sentimentality instead of explosions.

That's not Vlad. Payne and Redemption takes place between the 2 games. Different storyline. It will be 20 minutes long, but it will have 2 more parts: Part 2, then Part 1. All together, the movie will be around 1 hour and 30 minutes.
