  • Does the sheet music exist for this piece?

    Thanks for the upload

  • Why would this be on charlie christians greatest hits if it wasnt charlie

  • It wasn't Christian on guitar he was already dead. The pianist died two weeks later from TB. By the way, this will be played at my funeral.

  • I'm going to be studying this for a while.

  • Is this Dizzy's famous solo from Massey Hall?

  • Charlie Christian died about three years before this recording.

  • on 1945 charlie christian work closely together with dizzy

  • it awesome, pure jazz

  • I love this recording. I can not stop listening. I put it on repeat on my iPod to listen over and over. Thanks.

  • Man, I need to work on my chops....

  • Man, i'm almost sure the guitar is played by Charlie Christian: 'r u totally sure the guy is Remo Palmieri? The research of melody on the solo and the lyric touch let think to Charlie...

  • @bBabuz I don't have the info anymore, so I can't check it out. But I guess you could be right. I made almost 600 vids, I'm sure there will be mistakes.

  • @Praguedive No problem my friend, yet thanx for the video...

  • @bBabuzI 'm sure that those 8 bar "horn like" solo are played by Remo Palmieri. No doubt about it. He played with Bird and Dizzy also on Groovin' high. He's style is so close to Christian's for sure, but that's because was one of those who learned that lesson very soon.

  • @bBabuz Didn't Charlie Christian pas on in1942? Pretty neat trick on his part if he played this.

  • @plectroman oooooooooooooooooooooops!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @bBabuz

It is Charlie Christian this version is on Charlie's geatest hits

  • @maxmulloes Will this quest have any solution ever?

  • @bBabuz yes, it is Palmieri. He was one of the first wave of players heavily influenced by Christian. Charlie, of course, died in 1942. If you enjoy this, I recommend looking for other recordings featuring Remo Palmieri, he is a wonderful but underexposed musician.

  • @ner1971 Thanks!

  • 726 hits? this is one of the most beautifull instrumental peaces of music ever made.... tell me... do these guys tell you a strory while they play there instruments? dizzy and charlie i love you god bless you

  • many thanks, i love this version
