Where are the bomb shelters? Civilians don't have to die in these numbers, unless it's part of Hamas's strategy to get Palestinian children killed as sympathy ploy. If Hamas is the legitimate government of the people of Gaza, then it's chief priority is civil defence, which would necessitate building shelters against Israeli bombing. We know that Palestinians are skilled at digging underground, as they've been successful at making tunnels to smuggle rockets.

Building supplies cannot enter Gaza to reconstruct the houses let alone bomb shelters and seeing as Gaza so hugley densley populated there would have to be a huge construction effort. The tunnels, so I've been told by people I met in Gaza are privatley owned and are often used to smuggle drugs and goods to sell to the wealthy citizens.

Such a video makes me really curious about the perception of the war in the Israeli Media and Internet Community. I dont know many Israelis - but so far I have always had the impression that they are rather uncritical towards the Palestinian "issue" But I am sure there must be voices among the Israeli which perceive, communicate and discuss things from more than the governments / official perspective. Where are the bomb shelters? Civilians don't have to die in these numbers, unless it's part of Hamas's strategy to get Palestinian children killed as sympathy ploy. If Hamas is the legitimate government of the people of Gaza, then it's chief priority is civil defence, which would necessitate building shelters against Israeli bombing. We know that Palestinians are skilled at digging underground, as they've been successful at making tunnels to smuggle rockets.

That's madness to think anyone wants children to die as a sympathy ploy, especially a democratic govornment who has to answer to it's public. Building supplies cannot enter Gaza to reconstruct the houses let alone bomb shelters and seeing as Gaza so hugley densley populated there would have to be a huge construction effort. The tunnels, so I've been told by people I met in Gaza are privatley owned and are often used to smuggle drugs and goods to sell to the wealthy citizens.

Civil defence is the number one priority of any democratic government. What could be more important? It's revealing that, from what I've read, Hamas has shelters for its high command, but not for Gazan civilians.
As far as Palestinians' regard for their children's safety is concerned, I suggest that you read the article that the journalist Alan Johnston wrote for the BBC. It's still on the BBC website and is titled "Palestinians' high-risk human shield tactic" dated 20th November 2006.

But they can't as Gaza is basically an open air prison walled and guarded all around so verry little gets in. this is a desperate tactic by civillians to save there homes. The pathetic rockets fired from gaza are pointless in my view, as all they do is kill few citizens (a war crime) if they were concerned about PR they would stop this at once. but this is a complex issue. maybe Isreal can look to the UK and see how our govornment brought about relative peace in northern Ireland by brining all paties to the table for SERIOUS talks.

My strong belief that the Palestinians are undeserving of ANYTHING is inline with the belief of most of the world. Say what you like, but the fact remains that 70-80% of the world recognizes Israel as a sovereign state, while at the same time they do not extend this recognition to the Palestinians. Such a video makes me really curious about the perception of the war in the Israeli Media and Internet Community. I dont know many Israelis - but so far I have always had the impression that they are rather uncritical towards the Palestinian "issue" But I am sure there must be voices among the Israeli which perceive, communicate and discuss things from more than the governments / official perspective. I mean Israel is a democracy - and because so there must be critics, right?

I don't think Israel cares about it's image to other countries though.
They live in continual fear.
Civilians dieing during conflicts is terrible and shouldn't happen. If you look at the big picture though, both sides are at fault.
But before you judge Israel harshly remember that you are sitting behind your computer screen saying these things, and not living in Israel.

I have been to Israel multiple times and have flown over the occupied West Bank by helicopter.
They live in continual fear? What about the Palestinians??
They can't leave, earn a living, move around freely even within their own "state".
As bad as rocket attacks are, the Kassam and Katyusha rockets are NOTHING like the arsenal Israel uses on civilians.
White phosphorus shells and cluster munitions are far more damaging than anything Palestinians have ever used...

You seemed to have missed the point I was making. I said both sides are at fault. Whether Israel is more at fault is irrelevant, violence is wrong period.
You don't see a ton of people on this comment board condemning Palestinian terrorism, even though I'm sure they don't agree with it.
I was merely just reminding people that Israel can't be seen as the 100% unprovoked bully.
But at the moment yes, these people are suffering as a result of Israel, and it's tragic.

I'm not Israeli, if you look at my page, and under my favorite videos a few back you'll see I have a video favorited called "If American's knew the truth about Israel" I think American support of Israel is wrong. But I wouldn't compare them to the Nazis as you have. Yes, the Nazis were a beacon of human rights weren't they, allowing medical supplies, while systematically committing mass murders? Discussing this with you is pointless, just accept that both sides are wrong.

I can't believe this man (Ibrahim's father) was without medical attention for four days after being shot in the chest. I would have thought he'd have died immediately if it punctured his lungs, but then again I don't know what kind of bullet it was. It's all incredibly tragic.

Israel targeted civilians with advanced weaponry meant for armored vehicles and professional enemy combatants. Israel could have done a better job of targeting enemy combatants but they intentionally chose to ignore the plight of the peaceful Palestinians and tried to eviscerate them. Big stick policy is bull shit if all it ends up doing is killing a mostly women and children that have nothing to do with the conflict at hand. What kind of country fires white phosphorous at 8 year olds and women?
