  • THIS AINT KILL BILL~!!

  • i just noticed the first sword split into two!! lol

  • could someone please explain the background story to me? thanks in advance.

  • i love zyi zhang

  • skills.

  • This from the film

    "Crouching tiger hidden dragon"

    A great movie

  • What really happened. . .

    "You wash the dishes!"

    "No, YOU wash the dishes!"

  • really cool

  • 0:44 "what the devil? hahahaha

  • I know some people hate dubs, but ... I have to be honest ... the dubbing in this film was done incredibly well.

  • Talk about your sibling rivalry! It's not right that sisters should fight so. But nothing beats the Singing Sword, It cuts heavy iron bars in half!

  • the one that knows how to use all of the weapons would beat the shit outta the one that only nows how to sue the sword cause in real life the one that knows all the weapons would beat that ass.

  • Anyone need a bodyguard???? Beautiful too.

  • The girl values the Green Destiny the way Gollum values his 'precious' ring, she's has issues

  • Wha de dewil??

  • I'll let Zhang Ziyi kick my ass anytime <3

  • The Green Destiny is haxed LMAO

  • The Green Destiny is obviously OP.

  • the dubbing was ok on this, but still prefer subs

  • I still love this movie

  • why does Li Mu Bais sword is SO important to them?

    it has special powers?

sorry, long time no see the movie

  • @ModernFrench: Actually, the Green Destiny is more like a cultural artifact of a bygone unparalleled swordmaking age, even before the Chin dynasty. (according to Sir Te) For the Chinese, pricelessness is determined by a thing's past, not just it's inherent value. LiMuBai is not just its undoubtedly deserved wielder but also the current curator of its history.

  • I understand why others want to hear their language in a movie but if its going to be put out there for more than just one audience than listening to it in english is sastisfying. It helps those who do not speak the language or understand it. My family bought this movie a long time ago and hearing it in english is relieveing so that i can understand what exactly is going on.

  • "what the devil?!"

  • @myRincon

"what the hell" would be the according expression xD

  • I realy hate these dubed movies, they should only do that for small children.

  • i didn't know humans could fly.

  • @dizzyisme

    i loled on that comment

  • I AGREE EVERY MOVIES OR DRAMA SSHOULD BE LISTEN IN THEIR ORINGNAL

    LANGUAGE

  • english .... -.- dub ....

  • damn that woman is a weapon master:P

  • Michelle Yeoh is a gangsta, this is an incredible scene !!! Beautiful choreography.....it did not lose pace for one second.

  • @godlessKnowledge Totally agree with you on that one there, dubbed versions take away from the movie.

  • i hate when they talk in english, there should be subtitles and vernacular language

  • woah, Michelle Yeoh is so damn awesome *____* If Zhang's character hadn't that sword, Shu Lien would have won much much earlier! Michelle is so hot!

  • WAT DUH DEVIL

  • lol that's my favorite part of this scene haha

  • @jaromhobbs33

    haha

  • Oy vey, the dub!

    Jen, what a brat!

  • the sound in the background di not match the fight one bit..

  • lmao "what the devil! look out were being attacked!"

  • Last fight scene in Kung Pow was much better than this...

  • Wow the sound is TERRIBLE.

  • i always loved this scene. its one of the greatest female sword fights in cinema history. plus i been i love with zhang zi yi ever since i first saw this movie, she's so sexy!

  • Of course she broke the table in 2 pieces with that wood stick.. MADE IN CHINA = crap good for nothing

  • Lol!

  • I think I made my point and was right..what do you think

  • it was a spear not a wooden stick :/

  • 2:46 KABAL

  • with hookswords aint it? Well um.. she doesn't remind me of him :/

  • haha, that was like kung pow when it was dubbed.

  • I did saw this from TV, this is not like best but still good.

  • Holy crap!!! That was epic!! I luved it!

  • WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yeoh is an awesome screen presence.

  • so, she start with Daos, then a spear, then hooks, then a spade she cant pick up, then a bar mace, and finally a bigger jian.

  • At 1:44. how did she split her sword in half?

  • @dsalmeron Maybe it was... PLASTIC SWORD !

  • Im thinking its a mirror sword its attached together on the blade and can be easily split in the handle IM JUST GUESSING DONT FLAME ME or anything

  • this is a really good fight

  • Wow, why haven't I seen this movie yet?

  • cool i love movies like this

  • Dubbing always sucks..

  • girl power!!!!

  • Michelle Yeoh has hax..

  • LOL

  • LOL @ dubbing

  • Chinese undubbed version is better.

  • awesome!

  • Michelle Yeoh proves you don't need to be 20 something to be gorgeous. She is so hot....

  • What moron thought about dubbing this great film into english? It ruins the authentic chinese feeling.

  • Stupid cunt, nobody would understand it then you moron.

  • no one?

there are some ppl that know chinese....

  • Yeah but this film was released worldwide not just in China.

  • Well there's always subtitles... They didn't have to dub it and from what I remember they didn't when this movie first came in theatres. It had subtitles. This clip was probably ripped from a DVD or a dot file.

  • I'm amazed you know how to write, redplague... did you ever watch a non-english spoken film WITH subtitles or are you just too lazy/disabled to read?!

  • Yes I've seen House of Flying Daggers and a couple of others and the subtitles always interfere with the visual enjoyment.

  • 4:11 - 4:18 fucking awsome.

  • damn that fight was good. I haven"t seen this movie n 4 ever!!!!!

  • no man pretty sure the straight sword is more profficient

  • So go watch a samurai flick, 阿呆.

  • k whateva

  • Yeah, well... I could use my x-ray vision and cloak of invisibility to defeat you!

  • they look like the two characters in Memoirs of a Geisha

  • they are!

  • Yay! I wasn't wrong, im so smart i know XD jk

  • Yeah, I still think Yeoh's character was the better fighter - familiar with more weapons, and, frankly, less of an insufferable bitch.

Let's face it, once you got the Green Destiny away from Ziyi's character, she WOULD be fucked.

  • Yeah I agree. In this case it's the steel (perfect steel) that wins the fight, not really the skill. The Green Destiny is unbreakable, and never loses it's edge.

  • I'd argue that it didn't, really. Michelle Yeoh could have killed her when she broke her sword (intentionally).

  • @Otacon144 Lool

  • @Otacon144 Yeoh should've used Soul Calibur, from the Soul Series, I'm sure it would fit her very well. I'm also sure she would've defeated her easily with SC.

  • @Otacon144 Ziyi is hotter though >.>

Lol but what you say is the truth.

  • If they JUST WOULDN'T fly around... then it would be awesome and some seriousness gets involved.

  • good movie great action there hight air trenth strong one finger of tiger whit win

  • the english dub isn't THAT bad...

  • thats true, however as dubbing go, this is definitly one of the best dubbed movies i have ever seen.

  • haha she couldnt even pick up that one weaponsXD

  • is that her mother

  • No, it's not her mother. The two of them are not related. The young girl, played by Ziyi steals a sword that belonged to Chow yun fat, who is Michelle (the older woman's) lover. Over the course of the story michelle looks out for ziyi and also tries to find out what is really going along. the two of them form what is a sisterly bond, which in this scene, is obviously broken because Ziyi accuses her of trapping her. Watch the film, its awesome.

  • ow, Sureli the best fight . Two of them them Good,

  • it may be evilby's sword, but it's no hatori hanzo.

  • mad beast fight

  • Shut up...

  • 4:13 great...

  • did i see twin hooks???

  • lol when i saw the first seconds, i wondered where in 'memoirs of a geisha' that was oO

  • =o i love that movie LOL and same here =) these two have been in TONS of movies together

  • i've seen lots of better ones

  • for example...???

  • kill bill:

    the bride vs. elle driver

the bride (beattrix) vs oren ishii

    beatrix vs gogo

and these are examples of only one movie!!

  • This is hands down the best sword fight I have ever seen in a movie. But God in heaven, this dub sucks.

  • damn, I thought this was one of the better dubs.

  • god dubbed movies suck! give me subtitles any day

  • ???

In kung fu movies there are plenty of fight scenes like this. Some of them with more ingenuity than this.

People should stop getting amazed by things that are ages old in new overhyped films.

  • 3:24 to 3:29 LOL! so funny

  • damn, they're strong

  • wow

    they were graceful... very nice

  • Yo-Yo.

  • This fight scene is one of the reasons why this movie won the Oscar for Best Picture for its year.

    Its flawless @.@

  • Horrible dub

  • Horrible!!!

    F***** Dub!

  • yeah it is horrible

  • jajajaja

    no saben nada ustedes

esta parte es la mejor .

vivaaaaa El tigre y el dragon !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ......the English matches up with their lips so well sometimes it makes me wonder if they are actually speaking English or their native language.

  • flawless and beautiful! the make it look so easy hahahhaaa!!

  • lovely dance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks

  • Where did she get the second sword?

  • Comment removed

  • why does it get really loud at lyke 0:46

  • Google Gung Fu.....Kung Fu is a americanised term.

  • If Michelle Yeoh asked me to marry her, I'd say....."YES"!

  • Wow these ladies are good.

  • My life philosophy, when all else fails grab a pipe.

  • lmbosimh! lol

  • I love Gung fu

  • its kung fu

  • Comment removed

  • was that a scimitar?

  • a scimitar is like a saber except with the blade curved in more than a saber and with more of a point

  • machete?

  • I loved this so much I added it. lol

  • CTHD a timeless classic

  • should've killed that brat....but then the movie would end :(

  • i f*cking love this movie....and all the of the fight scenes in it haha

  • Two angry bitches, damn! Ziyi is one wicked spoiled bitch in this movie, wish Michelle had silt her throat!

  • ziyi zhang isnt one of the most beautiful girls alive

she IS the most beautiful woman alive!

    so gorgeous :)

  • Alucinante

  • i love michelle. she's AMAZING and has earn her dues in the movie industry.....keep up the good work.

  • right at the end, that was a freaking cheap shot! She could've slit her throat if she wanted to!

  • i cant imagine zang zihi fighting like this after seeing her in memoirs of a geisha

  • and just what is so rediculous about it! I think its a beautiful fight involving great choreography and hard work from actors!

  • It's more of a dance than a fight. It's martial arts, without the martial.

  • but its a movie, not a fighting instruction manual, its supposed to entertain!

  • notice how she backs off when yoeh grabs the spade

  • Does this movie have anything to do with Curse if the golden flower?

  • Nope, not a thing, in fact they aren't even based in the same Dynasty.

Zhang Ziyi, Michelle Yeoh and Gong Li get swapped out quite a bit between Tiger and Dragon, Curse of the Golden Flower, Memoirs of a Geisha, Hero, House of Flying Daggers and The Mummy 3.

  • Memoirs of a geisha...

  • no brow, that's "tigger hidder drangon" scene, by ang lee

  • i know the characters are in memoirs of a geisha too =]

  • Zhang Ziyi plays Sayrui in Memoirs of a Geisha.

Michelle Yeoh plays Mameha in Memoirs of a Geisha.

Gong Li is not in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon

She is The Empress in Curse of the Golden Flower and Hatsomomo in Memoirs of a Geisha.

  • That's an awesome scene.

  • Awesome, that was the best fight ever.

  • I remember watching this movie in theatres when I was 4 years old. Even though I didn't get what it was about. BEST MOVIE OF MY LIFE IN THAT TIME!!!

  • so youre like 12 years old?

  • im 14 -.-

  • Love this film, I ahve it on DVD. But I cannot stand the dubbed version. It's so irritating. The accents are horrible and sound so fake. I have to watch it wiht subtitles.

  • this movie made the break through and the standards for asian fighting movies.

  • With an ordinary sword Michelle would have kicked her butt in 2 minutes.

  • this fight scene was decent, but there are far better fight scenes.

  • This the 100% very best of all time (male or female) fight scenes - hands down. It is also the most underated fight scene of all time. Nothing is virtuosic or better.

  • what movie is this?

  • Read the description.

  • Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon hun >.>

  • that weapon she gets at 3:36 is all me......just start beating people with a big fukin metal pipe

  • simplemente maravilloso !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I hate english dubs...
