First oil deal reached post US occupation was for Israel, brokered by Henry Kissinger. Israel takes what it wants thru aggression either directly of through manipulation of US. It did in 1967 and again in 2003.

1967 6 day war was a pre-emptive strike against an Egyptian military build up and calls for a united strike by the Arab nations against the Jews. It wasnt a war for land or oil. It was a war for its survival.

Egypt then throws out 3400 UNEF Obserers. Shuts the straits of Tiran, and subsequently mobilises 40,000 + troops in the Sinai...

It was won so easily and quickly because the Israeli troops were better trained than the Arabs, they had a better air-force and they destroyed the Egyptian and Syrian air-forces on the ground. Therefore they had air superiority.... they held the Golan heights as a strategic position to stop Syria from firing on them as they had done on April 7th and at which front Syria attacked again in 1973. Military history/tactics isn't your strong point is it?
