I love Treasure Planet! But then again, I love just about every Disney animated films. Well, every ORIGINAL animated films. Their sequels stink.

@shadowclaw2005 I wouldn't be too quick to say that. The majority fo them sucked but The Lion King 2 was actually a pretty good movie that lived up well to its predecessor's name as was the third Aladdin movie (although both suffered problems in their soundtrack). Also the Enchanted Christmas was good although the only reason why I say it's tolerable is because the film's villain alone made the rest of the movie tolerable.

But the rest of the sequels blow, no doubt.

I agree, but the problems were

A) Cartoon Animation was on a decline at the time

B) People were already watching muppet treasure island

C) The movie was in space, yes, but it seemed to borrow too much from the original stories, compared to the other animations disney based their movies off of.

A) I agree, even though I regret it. In my opinion CGI sucks.

B) Not to mention it opened a week after the second Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter movies. So yeah... people didn't really care.

C) Well, that I kinda liked that aspect of the movie. Disney movies often get criticised (by me among others...) for not sticking to the original story enough, so it really didn't bother me that it was a lot like Treasure Island.

Still, these are just my personal opinions.

Quite enjoyable.

Also a great film to retrieve the song from, as it's one of the rare moments when you see the beloved Monty Pythoners together. John Cleese, Eric Idle, Michael Palin, Terry Jones, a hint of Terry Gilliam with the Weasels' song...Even Stephen Fry, although I'm not certain if he did work with the Monty Pythoners.
