i miss that voice-over doing the one life to live commercial bumper. now it's the same guy that does/use to do the all my children bumper before it got canceled. now he does jimmy kimel.
You know, your right. I have no idea why I made that comment. Some of the ads could be re-run from 1994 and shot in 1993. The 90s really didn't grow into it's own until 1995-1996. 1990-early 1994 was a transitional period from the 80s.
I'm not that much older than you. I just turned 19 and lived in the 1990s from birth to age 9. Usually a decade grows into its own by the second half of it. The first half of the 1980s had some things from the 1970s, just like if you saw something from 1962 you would think it was from 50s. To me 90s ads became more modern to me around late '97/early '98 because of popular culture changes.
I'll be turning 15 this september however no one in my highschool, takes interest in retro commercials but me..I dont know why but I love seeing them..especially ones from 1995 onwards because it means I've experianced it. And your right, they definately have seemed to become more modern over 1998.. all up to 2000 I think looks retro but after 2001 I think the quality really made a big difference..especially in making movies.

The 1990s are a decade of their own. No offense
Carmaker1 2 years ago
no its no offense,
I know the 2000s looked more similar to the 80s than the 90s but I'm talking about the type of the commercials,
it looks slightly like the 80s (in my oppinion)

yes but I have to say...
1995 was pretty close to looking like the 80s..I could have mistaken the commercials to be from that time period.
But then again I have'nt lived through the 80s nor have I experienced these commercials,I'm born in '95.
