@undeadretard7 If you're in doubt there's interviews after, in which he says it deeply affected him and used his energy to give the little extra after focusing hard.
When he points to the flag on his jacket, and on his hat, and during the ceremony, he's doing his form for memorial.
Norway is a lightly populated country and everyone was affected in some way.
Our King and Prime Minister are also very professional but they apparently felt showing emotions wouldn't change that. And it didn't.
what we need to take out of this is that dale oen went under 59 with a textile suit. though i'm a huge fan of kitajima, being the first guy to go under 59 after the suits were taken away is pretty impressive.
He is world champion, on a day where his country of Norway is in great grief over the tragic act of terrorisme back home (80+ people shot and killed). He is Alexander The Great of our time.
@Jonse70 Honestly....I feel just as bad for all the victims of that tragedy as anyone else, but it as absolutely nothing to do with the guy's character or professionalism...do you think that's what he was thinking about after winning the race? I'm thinking no. The guy seems to self-absorbed for that.
I can't win even if I swim freestyle 一Д一"

I say kitajima is a better 200 breastroker. looking at his swim here and the one at the 08 olympics, id say he's best at the 200 breastroke.
