They are using Blank ammunition... its is exactly the same size as the normal ball round that the SA80 takes (5.56mm) but it has the ball taken out and it is capped at the end to make it harmless from over 50m and harmless from 5m with the blank firing adaptor

@duckym3rt  with a blank fire attachment they are completely harmless. but 3 live rounds will take the bfa off the end.
