  • paul needs some height, but he's good enough playing left handed bass

  • The Fab Four really are the best tribute band ever!

  • BEST BEATLES TRIBUTE BAND EVER!

  • Nice but where is the upper line of the two-part guitar riff in "Your Bird Can Sing"?

Good job but more practice needed, lads.

  • i don't think this band likes the beatles that much, that's the fab four suck

  • why chose a gretch for the lead I thought Harrison was beyond that guitar by this point

  • Keep on tuning them guitars, George.

  • Compare the Fab Four to "1964 the Tribute". Which do you prefer?

  • @hendrixzilla The fab Four are so much better- looks, sound and accuracy to the original.

  • Nice helmet hair on John

  • Check out The Blue Meanies from Liverpool nuf said.

  • that's pretty impressive that "George" is able to do the harmony guitar part by himself on "Bird"! good stuff!

  • @jeffkahl you should hear Gavin Pring (George) sing- he sounds Identical and when he takes off the Beatle wig he loks like George in his later years almost exactlY!

  • I cannot believe that this sound is not the BeaTles!!!!!!!!!!!! They are that good. Unbelievable~~~

  • That drummer has some skill!

  • can't touch American English...

  • I agee drumfactory

  • Is he wearing glasses?!

  • Yep

  • i love this set. personally, i think 1966 was the most intelegent music for the beatles.

  • wow they sound really great

  • Molto bravi!!

  • man this rendition of its only love is astounding

  • My favorite Beatles tribute bands are:

    THE BEATS FROM ARGENTINE!!!!

  • try out rain they are pretty good also not as good as fab four but a good cover band

  • To whom this may concern, JERRY(GERARD PELUSO)the youtube user FABFOREVER7 is being investigated for internet FRAUD, I am a victom of this SCAMMER, he fraudulently sold me a guitar on the internet for $1420, i got nothing and never saw a dime back, if you are a victom of JERRY(GERARD PELUSO) please contact me here with any details so I can pass this information on to the FBI, IC3, FTC, and the Las VEGAS Police Department, this guy tries to pass himself off as a nice guy, just as part of a SCAM!

  • these lads are brill,i seen thousands no one touches them oooooooooooh

  • by the way this is a fantasic version of and your bird can sing..their george instead of just picking the single notes on the lead goes the extra mile

  • I call it a draw between the two, Ardy is very good at Paul, especially in Can't buy me Love, Armando is amazing as well. Each have their strengths. As far as guts, yes Armando has a bit more balls in his voice, but no-one comes remotely close to Paul, just listen to NME LONG TALL SALLY LIVE, Paul has so much balls in voice its scary. But along those lines I really like Armando for that, and I agree with you about the energy of the Cavern Beat. But Fab Four is damn good, not perfect but good.

  • dont get me wrong...in terms of the whole package - the fab four at it...but the cavern beat capture the RAW energy of the early beatles like no other beatles trib band on you tube do...Armando captures the early Paul like no one else..You cant listen to him do the little richard covers and say its not so...you cant listen to their covers of thank you girl, ps i love you, till there was you and say the fab four are one up one them in that dept...you cant...

  • it's cute to see how the fab four have the stage mannerisms down pat (ardy motioning with his index fnger when he talks, the john imitator scratching his head) but when it comes down to it, it's the music that made the beatles..im not a plant, im just trying to show other bealte fans what's out there

  • Are you a plant for the Cavern Beat? Everywhere I see Beatles tribute band videos I see your comments for them. I have seen some of their videos and they do pretty good but please do not compare them to Ardy who has been in the business for quite a long time. As I said before, I have seen many tribute bands both here in the States and in Europe. Ardy has been the best so far. I know guys that have played Paul, and get mistaken for being Paul, and they think Ardy is one of, if not, the best.

  • Adore the FabFour!

  • Just type in FAB Four FRom ME TO YOu, not the Blue background one, cause the audio there is horrible. Its the one where they are wearing black. Compare that with Stevie

LENNON AND McCARTNEY FROM ME TO YOU

  • Stinky, please stop comparing Riks to these guys. He is a one person show - more of an interpreter with a comedic twist. He pre-records the stuff. There is no comparison to what these guys do. They do everything live and they are absolutely FAB musicians.

  • No, he also plays live, does comedy, does pre-recorded, does many imitations, and Does the complete Paul, from Beatle era, to the 70's, to the OLD SOUNDING PAUL. so it is a worthy comparison. Just see his latest version of Bulldog and compare it to this band.

  • Also, you should note that the Beatles themselves in the last years, were not performing but doing everything pre-recorded. Furthermore, George Harrison, talked about MONTY PYTHON as capturing the "SPIRIT" of the Beatles.

Steve Riks, does all of that. The comedy, the brilliance, etc, etc...

"Hey Bulldog, Alternate Version" Produced By Marcel Vossen

  • Yes, what he does is good. I'm just saying it's not the same thing. I saw these guys live and they put on an unbelievable show. Look at the stuff they do live - stuff the Beatles never did live. I think Paul's jaw would drop if he saw them doing Golden Slumbers and Gently Weeps, both up on Youtube since end May.

  • Well, I am not going to argue anymore about it, I am happy you enjoy them, and yes they are very, very good. Although, with all Beatle bands, the John Lennon is very weak. But that aside, its important that they are doing what they can to 'keep it alive', and I suppose we should be grateful to them, its not easy and its easy for me to criticize. So please enjoy them.

  • To jderic, I've seen your postings on other videos. If this is so stupid and embarassing, why are you looking at it? As far as licensing, they don't need it. when playing copywritten material you need permission or you need to pay a fee to ASCAP and BMI. Bet you didn't know that bars that have cover bands have to pay or they can't have anything other than original bands. If you don't like it, don't look!

  • Beautiful work! Critics be damned!

  • I second Cherstars comments. STEVIE RIKS does all the beatles, He does Paul better, he does John, he does everyone! Even Elvis. And he sounds like everyone! The best damn imitator going. You won't believe your eyes and ears, and he is funny as hell. Having said that I do think that Ardy does a younger version of Paul and he does Paul very very well.

  • "He (Riks) does Paul better". Stinky, you know that cannot be true. Nobody does Paul better than Ardy of the Fab Four.

  • mb7668, I use to think the same. Until I heard Ardy do Maybe I'm Amazed and My love, check out Stevie, type this in Youtube:

    PAUL McCARTNEY CALICO SKIES/I'M CARRYING

then his From Me To you, where he does split screen of John and Paul. The blend is incredible, his accent is bang on.

    Type this in Youtube

LENNON AND McCARTNEY FROM ME TO YOU

Have fun with the rest of his clips, the guy is funny as hell. Also check out his Myspace.

  • Check out "Golden SLumbers" just put up end May by halos5.

Playing one of the Beatles is about a lot more than one or two songs. You have to do the whole thing.

  • I think Ardy is fantastic. He is really good, I've seen him live as well, However Stevie does *ALL* of Paul. Young, Middle, and Old. Compare Ardy trying to sing MY LOVE with Wingsband, its out of tune and flat. Or his version of Here today. Compare with Stevie. Stevie sounds so much more like Paul in that song. Also, Stevie is singing in a room. Stevie does whole songs as well. Check out: Type the following

PAUL McCARTNEY and JOHN LENNON LIVE

He does both John and Paul, and its great.

  • I have seen both, Stevie on video, but Ardy is the best. He does do all of Paul from early Beatles to Fineline. Stevie is alright but not really that enthused with what he does.

  • IMHO, repeat, IMHO, Ardy is way better at Paul than Stevie. Stevie does a good John, but his voice is thin compared to Ron of the Fab Four. I can't see Stevie doing "This Boy" or "Anna" and nailing the solos the way Ron does. Check them out on Youtube. That being said, Stevie is very clever and very good at what he does. And I did listen to Stvie's "From me to you" and again, IMO, it sounds nothing like the Beatles - mostly because the Paul voice is not good. Just my opinion, but I like the guy.

  • one more thing, I use to think just like you on the Paul. I use to think Ardy was #1, the guy from Rain #2 etc. But Stevie does all the beatles at every single stage of their life and he does them the best.

  • I don't think Stevie sound more like Paul than Ardy. I am talking only Beatles here. I never heard any of the Wingsband stuff. Not a big fan of Wings.

  • But if you only thought Stevie did a few songs, and only parts of songs, then that means you didn't hear the songs where he does full songs. Take From Me To You. Anyone here can compare the two themselves. Compare the Fab Four, which OFF KEY compare to the version Stevie does. The high harmony is much more thick like PAUL and blends far better. Of course cause Stevie is doing both voices:)So anyone here can judge those two songs and see what I am hearing.

  • Just a few more to check out, just type the titles in

    Paul McCartney Attacks Heather Mills!

and his version of In My Life by John

JOHN LENNON BY REQUEST IN MY LIFE

  • check out STEVIE RIKS HE DOES ALL FOUR OF EM CAN'T BE TOUCHED SORRY LUVS!

  • Stevie Riks' John Lennon is good but his Paul McCartney is just crap. Ardy is much much better.

  • you know what,I was in a beatle band in the uk for 13 years and (albeit biased)I thought we were the best ever, but this lot r amazin! They do songs no one else tries, they are all ok lookalikes (ardy is superb) they are fab players, the best sounding (ringo is the best ive heard)

  • cont....even their accents are good especially for yanks, and I thought I'd never find another band as anal as we were for details, i mean they even remove the bass' scratchplate for post '66 songs,I thought we were the only ones that dedicated!these guys are awesome and you americans are very lucky to have em, you should be very proud

  • You're right! I saw them last summer and I couldn't believe how authentic they were. They even copy The Beatles actions, like Ron(John) will kick his leg out straight when he goes to take a step, the way John used to do. All kinds of things like that. And they are superb musicians, too.

  • Without Ron, this band would be nothing. On Sgt Peppers material, Ron plays all the instruments other than guitar, bass, and drums on his keyboard. He is the best musician in the band. His voice best fits the psychedelic Beatles material (Revolver through Magical Mystery Tour)

  • I agree with you - Ron is a fabulous musician (and singer, too). He does great justice to John.

  • Ron is totally ace, he does like the whole 'retard' bit like John does at the London Palladium! It's spot on.

  • the most insane part about this vid is the fact that "george" is playing 2 guitar parts at once!! the main riff on "And Your Bird" is actually 2 guirats harmonizing!!! he does both parts at once!!!

  • Left handed bass - insane great on the spot voices. They have mastered all the details. "George" even moves his hand away from the guitar at times as the real George did. The details are incredible. They have really done their home work.

  • 1964 the tribute, a band not the year!

  • 65 era

  • Best all around tribute band. For early to mid 1964 is the best.

  • Who gives a fuck about the John?

That George just played both guitar parts by himself!

    Just for that, 5 stars.

  • John stood for peace in which this world really needs ..

  • What I meant was: The "george" performance was more noteworthy & compelling than the "john" in this case.

The original song has 2 very complex lead guitar parts (rhythm guitar part notwithstanding), and the guy playing george does both parts, by hisself, at the same time. amazing!

I agree with you about John. His social conrtibutions were at least as important as his music.

  • The original "And Your Bird Can Sing" featured a 12-string, didn't it?

  • According to George's interview on the anthology dvd, he says those lead guitar parts were done by either

he & Paul, or he & John. He couldn't remember which, but he said it was a complicated part.

By the way, does this Paul play any piano at the show?

  • Paul plays keyboards on Hey Jude. "John" plays keyboards on several things, and he plays a white piano on "Imagine".

  • He plays the keyboards many times. All the songs Paul plays keyboards, Ardy plays the keyboards as well.

  • vocally, Armando from the Cavern Beat is the best Paul...listen to him sing til there was you, besame mucho, lucille...Ardy has the best look, but vocally he cant touch Armando

  • I think they have had more than one George. The one I just saw looked very much like George Harrison, but sounded nothing like him. John looked and sounded like John, IMO. Paul sounded almost exactly like the real Paul.

  • They do have another George who sometimes travels with them while the George that is in this video is taking some time off. The other George is actually from Liverpool and has made quite the name for himself before becoming a Fab Four member. His name is Gavin Pring. Very nice guy and does look and sing quite a lot like George.

  • I saw Gavin on the recent Florida tour, even though the program said George was Michael Amador. Gavin does not sound like George, IMO, and he is not as good a musician as Ardy (Paul), Ron (John) or Michael (the "A" George). The program called for "Something" to be performed, and it was changed to "Here Comes the Sun", which was fine, but Gavin's performance was not well received, and Ardy encouranged the audience to give him a better hand.

  • Sorry you did not like Gavin. Friends of mine saw them at I think the Daytona performance and fell in love with Gavin even though she is a Paul girl. I have seen and met Gavin and he is very good. As for changing the setlist, that happens quite a lot and Ardy does quite often entice the audience to applaud more. He does it at least once a show.

  • I liked Gavin. The show was great. It's just that when I saw all these clips on YouTube I couldn't believe George was so differnt on here. I thought I must have just been mistaken in my perception. Then I found out it was a different George. It's not that he is not good. He is. He's just not in the same league with the other George, IMO. Not a big deal. He was fine and a really loved the show!

  • Someone says this sounds like John, I have to disagree. This sounds nothing like John, it just sounds like someone trying to imitate him. Don't get me wrong, I like the band and the Paul is great. But really, there are some limitations on imitations.

  • I just saw them in person, and the John did sound very much like John. When he comes out and does Imagine it's incredible.

  • If you are a Beatles fan...you have to see these guys. Their website has tour dates.

  • these guys are the best. you wont find anything close thats totally live. RINGO!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • they do mess up a couple of times here and there but who cares? i reckon it makes the Performance even better.

  • If the weakest link is superb... how would one fix that problem?

But apparently his height is OK.

  • yes ohmandyyxx it is a wig. In fact, all of them I beleave are wearing wigs.

  • there pretty good but paul is a bit to short or maybe george is to tall but cute hair john i wonder if thats a wig?

  • Ron McNeil is the most under rated singer to sound and sing like John. This is what makes The Fab Four the ULTIMATE tribute band ...perfection! All four lads are excellent musicians! Rock on mates!

  • While Ron is superb...he is the weakest link in the band. Not the greatest versions I've heard....I think the're much better than this clip shows.

  • Thanks for uploading this, DaveL965.
