I've got most of her albums and I see little in common with Kenny G, other than the soprano sax that's frequently used in her compositions. Not to slam K.G. he's good at what he does, but I like Keiko much more.

She's playing at BB Kings Bar & Grill NYC on 22 May for any of you fans able to get there.

This is the first I've heard of her, via the BB King newsletter link. Lovely discovery. Talented and beautiful. Her Japanese phrasings bring something special to the compositions. On the downside, some of it veers dangerously close to the Kenny G elevator music school - brr! Don't go there, Keiko!

I can’t decide which of Keiko’s tunes I could call my most favorite but this is one of them. Many play the piano, but only a few transform it into pure magic. Keiko is one of those musicians who can transform a blend of emotion and soul into pure life giving sound. Whether on a grand piano, or a synthetic version of the same, she simply has a mastery of the art.

its like she specifically allowed her energy to be put into each note so we may hear wat she was conveying. her style is very unique. this was a moving piece, but it seemed as if she was relearning the song. it just did not flow as smoothly as her other ones. the band was great as well. but kieko still has it

It would be a nicer song if there was an easier way to understand the musical movement in this song. Verbally speaking it my sound fine, but for me it isn't that easy to understand always understand or have a feel for. Effective communication conveyed in a song is important.People have to be able to understand a song to draw meaning from it. It isn't quite clear to me always. But I do love a lot of songs on her CD "Dream Walk."

I was privileged to experience her in concert before the USA knew who she was. I was spellbound by her music, the props she used, and her unmatchable keyboard ability. She is a beautiful and gracious woman. We were able to meet her, and get autographs. I will never forget this performance. Full Moon and the Shrine is her best cd.
