Video seems good so far, but trouble with tutorials is you can NEVER assume that something is known to the person watching them. For example; at 1:17 in this video you are editing the .ini which is great, but then you just say "save" and exit out. You assume that we are to know how this is done. If you could go back and add a note at that point it would be great. My only thought for saving is CTRL+S, which obviously does NOT work here. I look forward to being able to finish this install. Thanks
@FranticFinn you can see that I am using nano as my text editor to edit the ini file. You could just RTM on nano. In my example Control + O writes the file, and Control + X exits out of nano and back to the cli
hey ive been working on this for a long time now (perhaps all weekend) and it keeps telling me that ventrilo_srv does not exist when it does (ive ls'ed it, gave it global permissions, the whole set of things). would you mind helping me out a bit with this?
I am trying to install this on my website's server. I get to where I type in ./ventrilo_srv and it displays everything down to READY: but does nothing else. Do you know what my problem could be?
Hi thanks for the tutorial, but I have a problem, I'm behind a cisco router and I make a NAT connection between my private address and the public internet address and didn't work. Can you help me? thanks!!!

@analyzingfunny using the ssh protocol I transferred the files onto the server. You can use a program like winSCP to accomplish the same task.
