  • What is the standard main jet size for a 28 pict 1 on a 1300 engine? i'm currently running with a 110 solex jet but it floods the cylinders when i accelerate too much and the engine stalls :(

  • I liked the video but I have one problem how do I know what kind of carburator I have all I know is that is a 1600 and its a 73 beetle????

  • should say what it is on the float bowl i.e. 34 pict-3

    1303 s (1974)

  • Thanks i have a volksplane with a 1650 vw engine and carb-so helpful!!

  • Thank you for this video, it has been very helpful to me.

  • Awesome! I just purchased a '68 Beetle with parts from a '74 in the engine (the carb for one) and I'm having a hard time getting the idle set, so it dies a lot. The idle assy is somewhat warped and rusted from weathering, so it's difficult. Finally just seeing someone actually do it, I feel more confident about trying again now. I have a 30-PICT-1, perhaps I should rebuild it or just swap out for a 34-PICT anyway. Can't wait to see your other vids. Thanks again!

  • Wolfgang is great

  • thank you so much for your effort...
