I start to like anime again until I hear that horrible womans' voice that gets used over and over. She can't act to save her life, her voice is horrible, and even though used for machines over and over in anime, they don't add proper effects to make it sound worth a sh*t.

@animegamingdude I knew that, however this OVA (And MHX for that matter) seems to be taking some liberties in it's timeline and event playout (Dr. Cain dying in this when he's alive still in MMX2's time). So, with that in mind, some events proven from other games may be irrelevant.

Also, this OVA makes up for that poorly written Mega X episode from the American Megaman cartoon. Even though this is probably as far as they'll ever go with making Megaman X into an anime, I'm more than grateful that it was made. Cuz this OVA is a symbol of the franchise's immense potential.

Zero loses the half of his body vs Vile, when you go after the X hunters and get the parts, he has, both legs, upgraded, body, upgraded + saber, and a new detailed helmet... jeez Cain just join him like a lego.

@NYCHeavyHitz212 Maverick Hunter X was attempting to reboot the storyline, which is why parts of this OVA are almost impossible to place properly in the canon. The biggest discrepancy is definitely Dr. Cain, who in the games is in pretty good health until he dies somewhere between X3 and X4.

I prefer to just mix and match pieces of general plot revealed through these movies and avoid some of the specifics.

Zero it's a robot created by Dr. Willy to protect X, but the problem is that zero originally was born as a bad guy (even when Willy didn't wanted him that way); so Willy instaled a program in Zero that activates when he's about to lose control (the big "W" that appears in the gem of zero's helmet)... Need more information? XD

I have to say, I'm pleased with how this OVA turned out. When I heard about it, I wasn't so sure... I was afraid it was going to be like the cutscenes from X4. And while X4 was awesome, the cutscenes were god-awful. I'm glad the voice acting for this turned out to be so well-done.

...and also, REALLY glad they didn't make X sound like a girl or a little kid again. >.>

@Mario177188 Sigma didn't turn right away. The Maverick Virus passed out of Zero and into Sigma when they had their initial battle, and when Zero recovered, he was free of any maverick tendencies. So he joined the Maverick Hunters.

It took time for the virus to actually turn Sigma, and for a while after being infected, he continued to fight as head of the Maverick Hunters.

Why the heck not? The Zero series was on the GBA, the ZX series was on the DS. They were fantastic games. I think it's kind of BS that they only released Maverick Hunter X on the PSP. >.>

In any event, the argument is moot, Capcom isn't going to be remaking any more of the X series in this way. They wanted to remake the entire series over time, but sales were to low on Maverick Hunter X that Keiji Inafune said to hell with it.

5:11 to 5:16 - I disagree. That other Maverick hunter was doing quite a bit of squirming around while X was trying to get a fix on the generator. There's a very good chance the blast would have hit him. Besides, if Sigma's aiming capabilities are so great, how come he couldn't disable the Mechanoloid without chopping off the other Maverick hunter's arm? Heck, in the simulation, even Zero couldn't hit the generator without hitting the other hunter! So everybody should stop picking on X.
