When most of ppl hear Yngwie Malmsteen they see a furious shredder, sweep and alternate picker. The guy who can't play slow and use only phrygian dominant mode or diminished arpeggios. very good... incredible tecnique and I really love him but... I think that is not necessary to play ALWAYS 10.000 notes in 5 seconds... I think that some more melody could be better...He always thinks to play like beethoven or vivaldi or other great men from past but.. beethoven created great music like For Elise or Au clair de la lune... full of passion, full of melody. and unforgivable. His way to play guitar looks like a way to say "hello look how im fast!! Boring after 3 minutes of listening

One can't deny that his music is on the one hand extremely creative, on the other hand full of feeling. The mix between the electric guitar and the classical orchestra is not only interesting, it is also a delight to the ear.

Of course, since he's so talented, he's easy to criticize, and any brainless twit can say his music has no feeling because his fingers move on his frets at the speed of light - but this music is both astonishing and able to trigger divine sensations of esthetics.

7:45 is just show. I have seen this by other performers. I saw Zack Wilds, live, play behind his head, but nothing special. This was not written to be played with an orchestra, but they do a good job filling in. Although not the best performance, Yngwie is in the top rank of guitar players.
