  • I like these drills. They give you the basic feel for the technique of rocking back and covering the pole before being completely vertical.

  • am i the only one who saw that hot bottomless chick at 0:30?

  • @peytonshedd youre not alone.....

  • For beginners? Heck no! Most people can't even get a knee drive while still in the beginner stage. Let alone get upside-down. This dude is not a beginner. He does a full flip while inverted. So. Cool.

  • im i the only one who cheacked to see if that chick was naked lo

  • That music is fckin annoying :0

  • ive been training pole vault for 4 years now and i never done those drills....i dont know why every time i go to come competition ppl do those drills..i mean if you dont have good technique you dont have to do this because in your jump you wont be able to perform that and its a waste of energy....

  • OMG i loved that back flip

  • great video

  • Great drills. I've been doing these for the past couple yars and I believe they have really helped with my takeoff and swing.

  • I vaulted for years without doing these drills. I used to jump on a pole and go!

I have begun to incorporate these few elements in my warm up and can't believe the results it has had on my attempts at crossbars.

  • a) it's a very good drill to each, and it works will with beginners who catch on quick and are able to finish their takeoff.

    b) grip doesn't matter, it's a straight pole drill

c)doesn't matter what pole, as long as you're straight poling.

    d) count... he's going from 5 steps or 3 Lefts

to the video poster... you're plant looked very nice as well as your swing to the top.

  • i hate to burst your bubble but you were trying to sound smart and it didnt really work out to well because there is no point in saying any of that that you said and you were wrong..he took six steps not 5. and a 3 left is six steps not 5

  • beautiful

unfortunately I still can't make the somersault by fear to falling. :S

  • Not a good drill, especially for beginners. There is way too much emphasis on getting upside down. Most people will not finish their take-off. I had trouble seeing if you did or not.

  • @faucetmaneuver9 ... very true.

  • @faucetmaneuver9 no theses drills are for beginners, it helps ur form going up
