I agree with gtrefghuk. These "fake" fights off the facebook are horrible. They square off after the puck is dropped and then pat each other after the fight. I remember in the 80's and 90's guys fought because they were pissed off and it was more exciting.

I'm getting tired of these fake "right off the faceoff" fights. Loved the old days when the players were really pissed off at each other, and went at it hardcore. No squaring off, no Hollywooding. Just plain intense, instant violence.

@RJ959 Yes but this fight is one of the rare one which fill these critics. I also love them but even in some "entertaining" fights there are big cheap shots like elbowing or fighting when one lays on the ground

@RJ959 Actually now that you mention it. The one thing I do like about new school hockey fights is that they have a better code of honor. Back in the day if someone got hurt during a fight and went down to the ice. Guys like Dave Schultz, Wendel Clark, ot Tie Domi would keep beating you down to the ice with no mercy. They would damn near kill you given the chance.

@gtrefghuk I dont see an issue with going off the draw, one of the worst things you can do is go after a guy at the end of his shift when they are already tired. Plus off the draw is one of the fairest kind of fights you are going to see.

@159yankees Agreed. I am the farthest thing from a Ducks or Parros fan but I have to admit he's got to be one of the better fighters around these days. George " No Balance" Parros must have taken power skating classes in the summer. He can actually throw a punch now without falling down now.
