Re: time on task and training efficiency, I too am big on this! In a gym situation the power jumper can be fixed, or they could try the portable jumper which requires no fixings or training partners. In field situations this can be more of a challenge. Given the type of training, athlete ability and muscle response, there is no problem having 1 or even 2 athletes rotating around and accommodating work recovery times appropriate to the training in power modalities. There is slack in the cords, & this is acceptable when accelerating the functioning muscle through the full range of movement. Resistance is greatest at the top of the range, & ground reaction forces increase as the athlete is placed into overspeed. Personally I have had athletes improve markedly using this training, that have otherwise been non or less responsive to improving jump height & acceleration.

You're losing most of the benefit when those bands go slack! Plus you have 2 guys watching while one is working - not very efficient.
