@curtischancx3 try adjusting the chat volume in the xbox guide menu. also, try plugging in a different mic and see if you can hear people. if that's not the problem then idk what it is, call turtle beach customer support.

@curtischancx3 how long have you had the headset it could be a faulty talk back puck i have had lost of problems with x1's and x 11's they are great for advantage gameplay but often seem to break not very durable

@FabioHagen yes. you can do it with a certain hdmi cable but you need to buy this separately as in it does not come with the x11 headset.

@FabioHagen it connects through the red and white audio components in your tv. it also connects to one of the usb ports in your 360.

there should be an image on google images that will show you exactly. it isn't hard to hook up and you are given a directions pamphlet on how to hook it up.

@WeAreWhiteKids if your headset is in good or above condition now, then no. but if they are starting to get bad, yes. this headset is way better than the x1's, and i owned both, there is a noticeably large difference in sound quality and comfortability.

the only thing i notice is when you are waiting in a lobby, or there is no game sound, you can hear a little fuzzy noise. this might be because i have a play and charge kit in one of my usb slots tho

It really depends on your setup, if the wires would be inconvenient. For most people, it's not an issue because if there is too much cable for some reason, you can roll some of it up and hold it together with Velcro, and there shouldn't be too little cause it's 16ft. I generally don't have a problem with the wires and they aren't a hassle. But just imagine your xbox or ps3 setup with an extra wire going from the system to you, and make a decision from there.

if you decide to get the x31 i would recommend getting rechargeable batteries. i use them for my controller. i got 4 rechargeable batteries and when my batteries die i put the charged ones in and put the dead ones on the charger. i just ordered the x11 though because they are cheaper.

to be truly honest the wires aren't that annoying because they are a lot longer than the X1 wires. It also depends on how far away you sit from your tv.
