  • he probobly likes the guitar who cares what names on it lol. If stuff sounds good then play it. If it doesnt then dont buy it just cause it says gibson on it or fender lol.

  • I throw you 20 bucks for the barber

  • Sorry to add one more: real bad demo, choice of guitars, the Harvard was Steve Croppers amp so why not use a Tele and play some of his licks, using some new Heavy Metal Style guitar and play some chords and then some more power chords doesnt do that amp justice.

  • I have a 59 harvard and was hoping to keep it a secret weapon but it,s just too good for that. It,s impossible to get a shitty sound

  • Wonder how it would sound with a real guitar..

  • go to victoria amps page you will find more sounds....

  • for make a good amp demo you will take a standard sounding guitar like a les paul or strat or tele for make a good idea of how it sounds to the guitar players

  • @cochomotion Agreed. I want a reference point, not a demonstration for someone's personal tastes.

  • Wow thats the most decent clean tone ive ever heard Paul dial in!

Usually hes either this lame twanky flub clean, or balls out crappy distortion- but i gotta say theres actually some good tone in this vid-

    Good job, Great amp-

  • why do they use a no name guitar that has no feel and tone itself?

  • @jkainsworth no name? you've never heard of taylor guitars? how can you even call yourself a guitar player? and just because the name Fender or Gibson or Ibanez isn't stamped on the headstock doesn't mean it doesn't have feel or tone.

  • @hiphopsucks96 way to reply to a comment that was posted 4 months ago. someone is needy. I have a taylor and they make great Acoustics, but not many people own a taylor electric guitar. for me the only thing that should be played through a Fender amplifier circuit is a fender guitar with single coils. Victoria Amps are just boutique fender amps so why not play a strat or a tele? something that people are familiar with.

  • @jkainsworth I understand how you feel, but a lot of people use taylor electrics, they're really versatile guitars, believe it or not. On top of that, they just started releasing them a few years ago. Times are different, they don't get the same commercial success because they aren't doing anything groundbreaking like what leo did years ago with the electric bass and telecaster. and just for the record, I'm not being needy. Someone made an ignorant comment, so I made an informed reply.

  • @hiphopsucks96 My comment, from 4 months ago, was not ignorant, nor was the reply "informed". The ignorance is in your name which bashes an entire music genre that carries the music industry at this point in time. If you just look at the top comments, people agree with me. Actually, if you look at all of the rest of the comments, people still agree with me.

  • @jkainsworth first of all, this username is old. being a long time musician, I have nothing but respect for the genre, despite it not being my favorite. second, yes, that comment was ignorant. calling a taylor a "no name guitar" is like calling a stradivarius a knock off. ask ANY informed guitar player in the world and they'll recognize the name taylor and their tone. have you ever played or heard on of these in person? third, I CAN COUNT. ignoramuses are ignoramuses at any time or place.

  • @hiphopsucks96 Taylors are known for their Acoustic guitars, not their electrics. Just because they make electrics doesnt mean they are good. its like Gibson USA making amplifiers which they did do at one point, their amp line failed but there name still is strong for making guitars. the original comment is old, like your username, which you are proudly flaunting around on youtube. If you can count, then comment on all the other comments that agree with me.

  • At the risk of sounding unappreciative of Paul's efforts, it'd have been fun to hear some slightly overdriven chords, a'la Keith Richards. Still, I enjoyed the review.

  • that guy can shred!

  • That cable in the amp is a Dimarrzio Yngwie Malmsteen signature Cable

  • the best sounding solid state amp out there is the tech 21 trademark series.

  • nice review but that is one ugly looking guitar

  • endorsementwise that is..

  • I never heard anyone complaining about that stratish guitar he used before... give that tayor a rest..

  • lol^^

The Tone knob is just a condenser-low-pass filter I think. You've got at least one of these on your electric-guitar o.o So why the hell do you need one on the amp?

PS.: Fender Champ etc. sounds way better to me.

But no one can beat that Mesa/Boogie Mark Custom Amps IMHO :D

  • the clean sounds were great but the "cranked" sounds sounded like they had way too much bass. Muddy isnt something i thought of when i saw this amp..

  • The crunch sounds like some judas priest.

  • I love tube's amp crunchy drive. :) But I love thrash metal sound more.

  • ah ah, They have deleted my comment where I saied that they were paied by taylor... Nice men ! ;)

  • What's up with the transitions?

  • please stop annoying me with your taylor.

  • @SoilPicks What the fuck is wrong with that Taylor?

  • @216trixie He uses it in nearly every video but you dont get any idea how it sounds with a strat or les paul

  • @SoilPicks Gotcha.

  • a price tag or something would be nice for these shows

  • My Carvin X100-B has one of the best clean channels to be had in any amp. Not to mention the crunch channel screams. Steve Vai used a X100-B to record Blue Powder.

  • So sick of seeing that Taylor electric... They should stick to acoustics for sure...

  • @Hellad00d They should use acoustics to test electric guitar amps? What a dumbass.

  • @Hellad00d Guitar World should stick to acoustics? What a dumbass.

  • @216trixie I was meaning that Taylor should stick to acoustics. Sorry that you misunderstood the sentence.

  • Looks like a fender bassman, but doesn't quite sound as good

  • @rockerdude29 I agree

  • 2;01 i think he burped...

  • Is the reverb added in studio or is a room ambiance mic was used?

  • sorry but i use a Vox adt 30 far better....but only 4 recording cant use it live to much to control

  • i think i like my class 5 better

  • I'm underwhelmed. I just don't hear it.

  • @dikhertz77 foreal, all of these "boutique" high end amps, and honestly most of them dont sound good. The "classic" sound so many people chase sounds awful to me,too fat and muddy and just dull sounding.I prefer a tighter sound, not this muddy boring overdrive.

  • @rockerdude29 I agree this amps overdrive isn't great, but classic amps do sound way better, I used to have a vintage marshall that was the shit, but it wasn't really a boutique amp, but for real hardly anybody actually uses their amps overdrive most people just use pedals if you think about it

  • @StainIessChina

gotta agree with you there, I'm a die hard fender amp user, thats the only overdrive I like, just the right amount of midrange and crunch, without being to thin that it doesn't bite

  • @AllenK17 Yeah I dig Fenders, but I'm more of a Crate and Marshall man myself, what I love about the Marshall overdrive is you can kinda shape it with the presence a little bit gives you a real fuzzy overdrive, but a lot gives that same kind of crunch, and Crate's are pretty similar to Fender's but I like their clean channel's a little better

  • @rockerdude29 Can I get a witness?!!!

  • I'll stick to my original '75 Fender Super Reverb, thanks Paul

  • he goes through phases with guitars...a few months back everything was demo'd on the black charvel, now it's the taylor

  • Looks like a immitator of a fender

  • @beaster09 It is. It's a repo of a 1958 Fender Harvard Tweed. Cost $1600.

  • damn, sounds nice!

  • line 6. prolly cheaper and i get amazing cleans, hate all you want but there versatile and amazing in every aspect

  • stop playing that gay taylor guitar!!

  • It totally looks like a Fender amp

  • @Zagorulez It is. It's a repo of a 1958 Fender Harvard Tweed. Cost $1600.

  • When he used a les paul no one asked how much gibson payed him ......... How much does gibson pay you to ask this? :p

  • @vileguile4 the thing is that he allways says the guitar he has now, and before that was a rare thing to do...and he normaly uses a epiphone les paul and not a gibson

  • "_definitely_ check it out."

Paul, this is becoming your catch phrase. I'm still twitching from all the catch phrases of the 80's. Why must you do this to me? WHY?!?!

    *twitch*

  • got some Bonamassa tones at 3.30, nice

  • Ugh , another demo with the taylor.

  • BUTTON UP YOUR DAMN SHIRT!!!!

no1 wants to see your waxed chest.

IM NOT GONNA TELL YOU AGAIN, young man...lol

  • @FuneralFragz It's not his fault you can't keep your eyes off his chest.

  • @antihax91

    lol.

  • it all sounds the same between the 3 inputs. i dont see why they dont just make them 3 channels instead of needing to move your cable. that giutar sounds rubbish too.

  • 1:53 is the worst edit I've ever seen.

  • Ugh, I agree with the other comments. You should be playing this amp with your '59 reissue LP!!!

  • looks like a Fender Amp.... just sayin'

  • paul has a very fucked up head shape doesn't he??

  • @TheBANDEMIC

    No.

  • Victoria amps have been around for quite a while now, building accurate replicas of vintage fender amps

  • omg... just another cheap copy of a fender custom shop amp!

  • @scarparkm3 yeah, cheap is what I'd describe it as, too.

  • This is a reproduction of the Fender Harvard Tweed. That amp goes for around $1700 on Ebay. The Victoria is around $1650, so I wouldn't say it's a cheap copy, just a copy. From what I hear from this video, I like a lot. Vintage Fenders are hard to come by, and if you do manage to get one. The condition will not be close to this amp. The Victoria is brand new with the same vibe. Gotta love that!

  • @scarparkm3 Hardly. Victoria amps are golden. As good as the originals tweeds in every respect. That Taylor guitar is doing this amp no justice at all. Search for Victoria Ivy League on YT and listen to the demos by the maker himself.

  • This doesn't even sound good. So midrangey that it kind of hurts my ears especially on the cleans.

  • @ruffles272 Part of it is that awful Taylor guitar, the other part is the sound of a Fender tweed, which may not be your cup of tea. They sound like the sound of '50's rock and roll.

  • you cant tell he is not reading....... right

  • It doesn't sound any better than my Blues Jr. for 1/3 the price.

  • Pretty nice cleans, but I'm not a fan of the crunch

  • why the hell are all these boutique people copying fender?? Dont they have an idea of their own?

  • @randomtwit They build spin off's of old amps because a lot of people cannot afford to buy a vintage Fender. For instance, a vintage Fender Tweed Bassman usually runs around $10,000 (maybe a little bit less with the current economy) and a Victoria amp that is a similar circuit costs around $3000. Also, they do have their own ideas. Victoria has multiple amps of their own design even if they are "Fender inspired." Marshall's first amp was a close copy of a Fender amp.

  • @randomtwit

It's because what Fender makes nowdays is absolute shit! Someone needs to make the great tweed amps at the level they used to be made or we would all be screwed!

  • wow Paul finally has a tone with some warm body... None of that skinny twangy pussy shit he normally barfs up

  • @Rafterman123 Sounds muddy to me. Needs some more treble, imo. But I'm a fan of bright tones. And please note that I said BRIGHT, not THIN. ;)

  • @metalwillhatecrew Yea I like a bit brighter tones with a little crunch too, but this makes a nice change to Paul's usual twangtasticness

  • It would be much more helpful to review pedals and amps using standard well known guitars (les pauls, stratocasters, telecasters, etc.), so we can actually tell the difference in tone.

  • Stop the BS, that Taylor is a fine guitar and Paul loves it! The problem is, it has too much personality (i.e., cranked/biased towards mids output) to provide useful equipment reviews.

  • I hate that Taylor :\

  • @Sp1tF1r3PT Yea, and I think we've seen enough of it by now.

  • I should know the exact built of this guitar by now!!!

  • One of the best tones Paul has had.

  • betcha cant afford this...

  • is the mic a shure sm57?

  • $1,695.00 for this???

  • @swapert22 Oh yeah. It's got easy controls... and diodes and shit.

  • god that taylors ugly, for 2000 some dollars i want my guitar to look like i paid 2000 dollars for it

  • how did I know he was gonna say he was playing that damn Taylor...?

  • Hay Paul! It's mesa401 from youtube.

  • Overpriced Fender knuck-off Amp!

  • "GUITAR WORLD" sponsored by Taylor Guitars!!

  • 2:01 Paul farts

  • @lilhendrix1106 hahaha X)

  • Fuck taylor!

  • @banjovlogs first time i hear that....

  • that sounds amazing

  • Minimal difference between inputs really...

  • omg...themic is right in the middle of the speaker....so im assuming this amp has a bad treble...

  • fender disliked this 3 times

  • why didn't you play any Zeppelin?

  • @kakabulle243 He can't actually play any riffs from bands due to copyright laws, so he usually will try to play something similar. He isn't using any signature gear though which is when he'd make an attempt at that.

  • Top class sounding amp...:)

  • he really likes that guitar

  • I wish he would say the cost of the equipment that he reviews.

  • @RandomGuitarist96 Sky high i guess !!! thats why they never say it

  • @RandomGuitarist96 It's a Victoria, so pricey.

  • @RandomGuitarist96

Is it really so hard to google it?

  • @RandomGuitarist96 Suck you cant google it in one minute, right?

  • How many does Taylor pay you for playing on this guitar ??

  • @LoULoU60500C Y u no speak good engrish?

  • @LoULoU60500C Not only is he getting paid but it matters.....I mean each amp will sound different with another guitar, vice versa. It is proper to say what you are using so people understand that the tone may vary with other guitars.

  • @LoULoU60500C None the less (or is it nonetheless??), it's a beauty!

  • @yekshemesh4alig yeah maybe, but, Paul makes some publicity for this guitar no ? However I don't say it's not a good guitar ! :)

  • @LoULoU60500C Either that or he just favor this one. Probably does get paid for it though.

  • @LoULoU60500C Have you played one? They are pretty awesome. But yeah, I've noticed the trend too :)

  • @lighteningboy not yet ! :) If I find one I'll try it !

  • @LoULoU60500C You ever think that he just likes playing the guitar?

  • @LoULoU60500C Probably 1000 dollars for every time he says Taylor :P

  • @LoULoU60500C yeah good question

  • is it an expensive amp ?

  • amp sounds awesome, why did he step on the shitty reverb pedal though????????

  • Comment removed

  • does he use a reverb???or is it the amp?..its not dry sounding...or maybe the OD he used?

  • Would have loved to hear it with single coils.

  • Nice playing. Bullshit amp.

  • first

  • @veeragandersucks so much fail

  • Sounds great. Lots of tone and character. Paul really likes that Taylor. So do I.

  • @smacman68 He's playing that Taylor because they're probably getting payed to advertise it. Just saying...

  • @DanSHREDSlife Exactly. Guitar World is doing a huge Taylor promotion.

  • @smacman68 He's being paid to promote Taylor, judging from how he actually says what guitar it is. It is a pretty nice looking guitar though.

  • I wouldnt waste my time haha

  • Second?

  • @afms93

    die

  • @LfunkeyA I'm just saying that because it has few views and comments...

  • Looks very nice
