my favorite janes song,,,and thats a very very hard thing to do,,when you grow up listen to this amazing music,,,,,timeless,,thanks to you tube and to sac71837..forever
@JohnnyPlaysRock lol @ tape.i had one i played out. eventually bought the cd..which got nicked or not returned a few times.have bought it about 4 times i think.and album you cant do without for sure.
OMFG! I was at this show. I was standing between the violin player and Dave Navarro who is immediately to her stage left. I have repeatedly told people this was the best concert I ever went to in my life! There is a decent chance I am *in* the wide shots!
"He was trying to teach me something. And now I know what it was; and now what I know what it meant..."
You know, growing up with a Jewish background, this song literally brings me back to what must've been the most infantile point of my life - completely vulnerable and ignorant of the world. It reminds me of how festive life was through my eyes, much like the music itself. My parents used to put me to sleep with this song in particular. I relate to Perry here on a very personal level.
Brilliant. Thanks for posting this rarely-played-live song.Like Metallicaroc & sharkboner, this song never astounded me during that time - was maybe too weird for me back then? One of my faves now. This was the year I graduated HS, and saw them play at MSG in NYC, probably a month or so after this. The band members seemed barely aware of where they wereI thought they were just drunk didnt know what being on heroin looked like at that time. The stage set looked like a living room. Unforgettable.
@sharkboner Totally agree man. I'd never really paid tha much attention to it when listening to the album but this year it just hit me all of a sudden and it's amazing.

Perry Farrel is a genius and this song's one of the best he's written. Love the violin part also!

@MrSuperdico Perry didn't write all Jane's songs. Not sure about this one. Eric A. wrote the majority I believe.
