To any William Friedkin fan, Roy Sheider, Tangerine Dream - this movie has to be a Classic. (It didn't do so good at the box-office and it "failed" by comparison to other films at the time). BUT! This is a true "guys" film. Read or watch it. You'll be amazed what these guys had to go through .....
absolute gt movie and with dreams xcellent music score makes it a hundred times btr, shame it dnt do well at cinemas, and when are we going to get a decent dvd version, the current 1 in full screen is awfull
TD had the coolest 'cold' sound. I dug Stratosphere while in hight school but lost track of them. ANother cool performance I got into while in art school is Bobby Beausoleil's soundtrack for Kenneth Anger's film, Lucifer RIsing, recorded on mostly self-built equipment while incarcerated in San Quentin for murder at the behest of Charlie Manson. Weird, but cool.
In Sorcerer William Friedkin gave the truck a persona , in "wages of fear" the mode of transport did not have an influence on the setting of the film.
badass truck, anyone know make and model. u can have have your hummers and escalades, this thing would scare the shit out of me. just look at that one eyed grimace!
A Legendary score by a Legendary New Age Musical cadre of genius mastery to a film of pristine originality in theatrics and suspense. Tangerine Dream has meritoriously augmented many films to of which they had the luxury of composing the soundtracks therein. As a kid I was captivated by their esoteric brilliance and now as a grown man I'm elated to have been a young child during their unforgettable movie soundtrack cornerstones of the 80's!! So mystified by their genius then and now!!
Kinda. Before I left school, my teacher was showing Ghost Dad. And when I heard that music, I remembered hearing it. And I was like, "What the hell? That music was in The Warriors trailer."
It really didn't suit it at all. It was played in the very beginning and at the very end during the credits. Come to think of it, I don't think any song could fit this movie... :)
sounds like encore

Thats one of the most awesomest soundtrack that I've ever heard. It's creepy, dramatic and gloom at the same time.

@kristjannuus Or in "Blake's 7." (Whenever I listen to this piece, I instantly think of the infamous end scene from that show's final episode.)

This was a great movie - that was a remake of an even greater one, Cluzot's "The Wages of Fear". Strongly recommend both films.

Great movie. Unfortunately, the year it was released it got lost in the shadows of sorta ground-breaking movie, STAR WARS.

Simply because the electonic boxes were so similar and limited back then, this sounds a lot like Alan Howarth/John Carpenter stuff.

Both trucks are GMC M211. Sorcerer truck has makeshift (scavenged) grille and hood.

@themachman19691 if it wasn't them, then it was copied (almost) note for note by an Australian with a Polymoog in his garage. I shall do research.
