Lapua 338 Magnum is Finnish Rifle cartridge, and One British sniper killed taleban using 338 lapua mag, at a range of 2,475 m (2,707 yd). a new record for the longest confirmed sniper kill in combat.
Sako is Finnish weapon manufacturer..
Sako TRG 22&42 are Finnish sniper rifles.. And many more...
With the brake on, its like a mild 308 load, and without the brake its rough, but not too bad because the rifles chambered in .338 are usually pretty heavy, in this video, he barely moves, my .300 win mag kicks at least twice as hard as that without the brake.....
OK, i belive thats the reason wy all military and police forces on "the Planet" shoot with Sako.......? Sako is for hobby shooter, security wannabe snipers, and little village rambos!
ok, some fakts! 1: No recoil because he put it into a platform! (just take a look closer) 2: He need to do, because the Sako is to light, there is no mass that catch the recoil! Some shooters use a bipot (my gun has 11,5 Kg, there is no Recoil!) 3: Youre Name, tells me a lot !youre Hobby, that tells me, you dont know anything about professional! Just go and shoot tiny plastic balls to the had of youre friends, ....if you hit......
First of all you ignoramus, just because I am on my Airsoft teams airsoft name doesn't mean I don't know anything about actual firearms. I guaranteed know more about firearms and ballistics than you do and I am also a better shot. I was on a competition shooting team for several years and every day practice position shooting, so if you have any questions for me regarding my knowledge please private message me. And I guess you know a lot about firearms saying Sako is trash.
airsoft is fun and i am in the paras so you are right in saying that you can still know about firearms. beat up Tradestone701 thats all you have to do:) lol
Yes, Airsoft is very fun! But I must say shooting real firearms is much better! I was talking to Tradstone701 and he is actually an allright guy, it was just wrong of him to assume I didn't know anything about actual firearms because I am on my airsoft teams account. Believe it or not I am only 16 years of age, but I know a plethora of information about firearms, mostly ballistics and cartridges, and I also reload on my very own (:
But on the other side you shouldn't put us airsofters down and treat us like we're idiots we learn gun safety(ok most of us, dang those little kids) and some of us quite like GOW take the time to research more about guns. Seriously, I think what you do with real guns is very cool! But you're not any better than any of us.
Once again you are not better. And how am i supposed to know your're in the military or whatever. And we don't play killing we just like to have some fun ok. If you want to see a killer look at yourself in the mirror!
I am no Killer, I am a Soldier! And i only do my Duty! Everybody do what hes best, and i do this! Because it is my profession and my Spirit! Play to be a Soldier, and have fun on it..... is a little bit strange....but ok, if you think its ok, than do it! Its your Time, its your Hobby! And why you do it.... never mind............!!!!!!!!!
How do you like that rifle? I was stuck between the excellent TRG by Sako, and the LRT-SASS by DPMS, the SASS is semi-auto but has half the accuracy range :( I'm really stuck. So how do you like this rifle?
I have an AR-10 with the standard barrel and it doesnt lack in accuaracy if I do my part, unles your shooting beyond 800 yards I wouldnt bother with the trg.
The .338 Lapua is. It is one of the first cartridges developed for SNIPERS. Other calibers started out with other motives, but the .338 Lapua Mag was made for sniping.
I agree something is fishy in Denmark. I have a friend with a 338 edge. Man it is quite a weapon and I have seen him shoot animals at 600 to 900 yards with it like it was nothing.
Wow! There was stuff-all recoil from that 338 Lapua. The shooter must have a strong back? Ming you, the TRG is a great rifle with a well designed stock (that does help).
This is not an L96, it is a Sako TRG 42. The two are made by completely different companies in different countries. To easily tell the two apart, look at the stock: The Accuracy International has a thumb hole and a more square stock, while the TRG series does not.
well .22 is some of the smallest stuff you shoot. but i have never shot a gun before. because im canadian. and if you had a toy gun that looked like a gun here and someone called the cops you would be surrounded with SWAT vans in there 300 second reaction time.

asease1234 3 years ago
That must have been a low-powered handload; that green box is typical of the way handloaders carry their ammo.
There's NO WAY a somewhat heavy rifle, with a realistic muzzle break, can show that little recoil firing factory .338 Lapua ammo. NO WAY!
GetMeThere1 3 years ago
armalite ar30 has virtually no recoil
smoof60 3 years ago
...which has nothing to do with this Sako TRG.

I believe to he is shooting handloaded ammunition, because of the light recoil and the fact that .338 Lapua ammo is so expensive.
