I never knew that they warned everyone so much...and I apologize for criticizing them for not having a plan...apparently they did but no one listened. If someone tells me GTFO or your gonna die...um...I'd have been gone 2 seconds after they words left their mouth.

Harry Lee was an Idiot, I am a NYC police officer and I cannot Believe what some of you people let come from your mouths.........Katrina aftermath was a total discrace to all of america..........
Rock, with all due respect, you're in NYC. It's a different world, another culture, and NYC doesn't get hurricanes like this due to its location. Don't sit in judgement, especially as far away as you are. I currently live in Connecticut, and they're afraid of thunderstorms around here. If a hurricane hit, nobody would know what to do.
There won't be another like him, that's for sure. Rest in peace, Sheriff Lee. You got the job done when no one else would. And you always said what needed to be said, when no one else would say it.
Harry Lee was not racist, he said the truth and wasn't afraid to tell the truth. Just because you're a gangsta drug dealer, thug, and don't like the man because he was out to get you off the streets, doesnt make him racist...Ya herd??
And If you didn't understand what i just typed, here's the translation for you bad asses out in the westbank....Yo my rap ova here said, Da top cop be not racist, he be not lie ya heard bro? he be wanted to get ya outa da streets cause ya be bad gangsta and ya be tryin to be hard like da fake rappers. may da sheriff rest.
This man talked like he did because his job was to protect and to serve. It was his job, but if you notice, it was his boss that gave the order. He was out helping in other parishes after the storm as well as in his home. If anyone didn't like him, it was most likely because they have something wrong themselves and got caught. He was a good man and helped people, no matter the color, all you had to do was call Harry and he was there...
Sheriff Lee was a man of Honor. He saw crime for what it was. No matter the color, sex or whatever, he called it. If he was wrong he admitted it. He was well liked and respected by all sexes and races. He will be missed.
There are a lot of damn fools out there storm or no storm. I like this guys way of thinking!

@danagasta1 I think sadly, that NYC may find out a little about how we in NOLA felt.

This shows how people were warned and ignored it.

Thats ridiculous what if people were trying to evacuate at the last minute at that time?
jdearman77 3 years ago
I evacuated at last min, about 10 hours before landfall, what takes normally 3 hour drive to South Miss, took 8.

The 2007 Drug Policy Reform Conference will be in New Orleans from Dec. 5-8 in the French Quarter. Be there and help end the failed war on drugs.
