I don't know if you answered this already because i didn't look at the other comments but is a cd required to allow you to upload videos from the camera to your computer? Because I have the same camera and the proper cable but can't seem make it connect to my laptop

@TheUltimateNoodleMan I didn't need to. Then again, I just hooked it up to iMovie an it worked. Well, after some workaround where I had to turn off and back on the camera while it was still connected.

@TheUltimateNoodleMan You have to buy iMovie. It's 15 dollars on the Mac App Store or 80 for the physical iLife Suite disc.

Anyway, it should, but I can't answer that with 100% sureness. I'm a Mac user, I've never used a Windows machine to edit video.

i have the exact same camera...there is a light you have to go to menu and go to the bottom and there is light click on it 2 turn it on.

Yeah, this cam does make the colors look washed out, and it doesn't do that well in low light conditions.

Are you sure its the same cam, Samsung has two cams that look like this but have differences in where stuff is put, you can see holes where the things are on the other camera. Because honestly, if that is a light, I don't know how to turn it on lol.

If my skateboarding you mean taking it with you as you skateboard then no. Its a DV camera, it has many moving parts that can easily be broken if it is hit or it falls. Not even a hard drive camera should be used. The best thing for that would be an SD/Memory Stick based camera.

i just got this camera, and i need some help with transferring it over to either imovie hd, or imovie 08. either one will work. can you please either leave me a detailed comment, or make a video on how to do this

yeah, this camera has a small problem when importing. what u need to do is plug in the camera, then hit the import button. you should see only blue as if the camera wasnt connected, then u switch modes on the camera while it still plugged in, then you should see wut ever the camera is pointing at. then switch back to the import mode and quickly press play after the camera screen goes blue, this will start playback and then click import in iMovie.
