the best way to cut a cake in half is with the knife you had, but you shouldn't do it in two parts, cause they may not come out even. You put the knife horizontally and start to cut about two inches, then you start turning the plate/rack/etc.. where you have the cake on. At this point, the knife should cut only with the part that's closer to the handle, the part that's more far way does not cut, At the same time you keep turning the plate. this way you will get a clean cut. thank u for ur recipe
