  • Yes, this is Trevor White from the John's Christ Superstar group.

  • Thanks very much for posting this. It may not be all that well known but this is up there with the very best of 70s powerpop.

  • Just the best. Have the original by Jook and a few other great singles by them. Will upload when I get the technology! Released at that magical time just before punk started taking off. Along with Eddie and the Hot Rods and the Count Bishops, something was definitely in the air...

  • Talented guy wrote great songs

  • I thought I'd never find live footage of The Jook/Trevor White on YouTube! Thanks for pasting! One of my favorites by them!

  • Trevor White and Jook are one of the best things I've recently discovered

  • @DrunkenSkinhead Me too son, me too.

  • great but the Jook version is a masterpiece!

  • does any one know if this guy did the dubbing for rocky's voice in the rocky horror picture show?

  • No he didn't. Love him. I known what you mean though!! X

  • @theaxelator yes, he did

  • @theaxelator Yes. He's interviewed in the Rocky Horror: From Concept To Cult book.

  • @MetalionSOS Sorry to disappoint you, but different Trevor White! The one you're thinking of is T. White, the musical star, not the guitarist.

  • @Sambaliten No, it's the same guy. Jook, Sparks, Jesus Christ Superstar etc. why would he lie!

  • @MetalionSOS The Trevor that I know, the one in this video, and the one from Jook and Sparks, has never done a musical in his life. This Trevor White was in the middle of recording and writing for Jook in '72 when the Jesus Christ-musical was played. (Also, if you google after pictures after musical-Trevor White you'll see it's an entirely different guy. )

  • @Sambaliten He was in Australia from 71-74 for JCS, then back to the UK for Sparks and Jook - why would he lie about his career and pretend to someone else?!

  • wow, what song thanks for posting this! any advices on JOOk videos anyone?

  • I highly doubt there are any.. I've only seen one or two pictures of them playing live, don't think they ever were filmed. Sadly.

  • Well, I do declare. Who's going 'clank clank clank' on bass, then? Hughie Green?

  • Yeah, I believe so.

  • Oh, right....

  • Thanks for re-posting this.

  • I bought this when it came out! Being such a Sparks fan when Trevor left the group I just had to have it! Great song still sounds good and amazing to see this clip of it actually being performed at the time. Fabulous!!

  • ahhh....the Jook ruled.......

  • Trevor can be found playing gigs in various pubs around the Surrey Hills with his friend Dave 'Nice' Collman and some pre-recorded backing tracks. You'll probably be able to see him on the Friday closest to Halloween at the Abinger Hatch pub or the Royal Oak.

  • when is Tee playing in the New year 2010?...

    Thanks...

  • Probably Xmas Eve and/or New Year's Eve at the abinger hatch.

  • BTW What's Trevor up to now?

  • Great to hear this after so many years. I met Trevor when I interviewed and had lunch with Sparks in 1975 in Toronto. Also after the tour-opening gig a coupla days later. Really enjoyed Trev and DInky and meeting John Hewlett. Also loved The Jook!

Give best wishes to your pops!

  • Hey that's my Pops. still sounds good all these years later. Love you dad xx

  • Ace... enough said.
