  • If I would have heard it, I would have liked this music at the time (when I was 1 or 2 yrs. old). Still like the blasting tunes today!

  • is it lee dorrain at vocals or still nick bullen?

  • @emophodze Thats Lee.. Nik left about a year before this..

  • @christbait thanks, wasn't sure. tbh never saw either of them live. first gig i saw was already with barney, 91/92 something.

  • To put this in perspective - other songs from 1987: Livin on a Prayer-Bon Jovi, Faith-George Michael, Here I Go Again-Whitesnake,

  • grindcore or dieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • this IS fucking napalm death!!! wow...what a video man!! looks like a fun fuckin show! cheers!

  • JUGENDCLUB GEISLINGEN,ICH WAR DABEI!!Wehmütig zurückblick......das waren Zeiten!!!!!

  • fathers of grindcore early years movement!! \m/

  • I love how underground this performance is, thx for posting the whole thing!

  • haha nerdy bitch, who cares what you think. no one here.

  • hahaha guess you do!

  • This is def. the worst thing I have ever heard... it's not even music. "/

  • Nerdy bitch,

    1) no-one cares what you think

2)you are not qualified to say what is and what isnt music

  • @NerdyyBitchh

this is grindcore. A very good genre, it's more music than the shit most people listen to today(mainstream music aka computer mixed music). This music is created by humans and instruments. The reason you can't hear that it sounds good is becasue of the poor quality of the video.

May I please ask you to think before you say.

  • @Quiteholy I think you've ignored your own request. The method of creating music should not be used as a standard for what is "good" or "shit". You may want to take note of your own hypocrisy as your reason for criticizing electronic music is just as arbitrary as NerdyyBitchh's reason for criticizing Napalm Death.

  • Damn! this is classic

    1. Deciever

    2. Life

    3. Prison Without Walls

    4. Negative Approach

    5. The Kill

    6. Instinct of Survival

  • THE BEGINNING OF THE MUSIC

  • Is this Lee on vocals?

  • Yes he is, Barney came in the band some years after...

  • is this video from 1987 or 1986? it's clearly Jim Whiteley on bass, but I thought he left at the end of 1986

  • Is Jim the one on the scum album?

  • he's plays bass on the B-side. (Nic Bullen, original vocalist/bass player played on the A-side)

  • And to think that none of these guys is in the band today....

  • Metal became extreme, electronic (techno) followed shortly after, then it started going backwards.

  • 2:36 is that menno from lärm dancing like a monkey? lol

  • classic era

  • Is Mick wearing a Lärm shirt there?

  • yes

    great isnt it

    nd was influinced by lärm

  • Thats The Same Stage Were Heresy Play , Right ??

  • this looks like it was shot at someone's garage or something. freakin' awesome. look at that crazy drummer go!!!

  • The mighty Napalm Death in their heyday... ok kiddies this is raw grindcore in its truest form, hardcore punk and thrash metal fused together!!!

  • No... Thrash and Hardcore Punk fused together is Crossover (example: late 1980s DRI). Grindcore is Hardcore, Industrial, Noise and DEATH metal fused together.

Also, the guys in Napalm were never big Thrash fans...

  • we worshipped mick harris in those days! never saw anything like that! nowadays loads of drummers are much faster, but Micks LOOKS faster! His style is so much better then todays US deathstyle.

    Hail Mick Harris.

    Steven Smegma (Smegma/Bowelcrust/Rompeprop)

  • yeah, mick was alot of fun to watch in those days. like you said, we never saw anything like that before. he played so damn fast... it was unique and different back then. now you have a billion death metal drummers who try to play like that and it all sounds so fake to me. i also have this video from my tape/video trading days. this was napalm death in their hey day. real low-budget grindcore that could very well pass for hardcore. i love it!! thanx for posting this whoever it was.

  • @mamavankimi he still think he is the best drummer for old school grind,,so much heart!!

  • @mamavankimi

Yeah when he grinded, he looked like the DRI-logo-man on 78rpm!! Nowdays shitheads, when they grind, they only move wrists and play the kicks with both feet... and all the drums are triggered... I can do that too!!

    PS

    smegma? Really? man, hahaha!!

  • @novembrine1 : hehe, you know my old band smegma [holland 1987-1991]?

  • This is awesome. Thanx for uploading!!
