@tameanaka My guess is that it's about an R-41. More insulation would be better no doubt. But it's always a payback issue. You have to do the math. I've got many columns about calculating payback on energy-savings items at my AsktheBuilder website, the dot com one. Please go read them. Type "payback" into my search engine.
@hitachi088 Based on what I've seen of the plans and finishes, it looks like it's going to come in somewhere in the range of $220 - $275 per square foot. The builder is first class and everything so far is top drawer. No doubt you could have it built cheaper, but you or some later owner will pay for many repairs after the warranty has expired. You know my saying right? Do it Right, Not Over.
@kylehazachode Not really. It's the same Canon S95 I've been using the past six months. Are you talking about the newsletter promo video at the end? That's all about lighting. I've got professional lights in the new indoor studio I just built.
@Hamish121212 Shingles.... Wait till you see the follow up video about this system. It'll have the words Cold Roof in the video title. I should be able to upload it today. Did you sign up for my newsletter? If not, why?
So what's the total R value of the roof once finished? Isn't R-39 a little low for an cold climate like NH? Nice video.
