i just uploaded a video of an oil painting that took me 5 months to finish.i would like to get some feedback on it. so if everyone that reads this could check it out and let me know what you think it would help me out! the video is called -- monumental oil painting- from start to finish. thanks everyone!
i,ve always used a rubber to help with shading or indeed a finger to spudge but this looks to be easier with a better effect, but i would love to see you do a marc bolan pic i,ve been trying but cant get the hair right or bring out his charactor, one of the reasons for watching this
I had gerat luck to get a wonderful teacher of art in the school. She teaches me very much in the 10 jears of my schooltime. She's strange but still cool. she was really talented and i always want to draw, sketch, paint like her. We did linocut, screen printing, sculpture and so on. Educated by her was the best thing in 10 jears of school. Hope you understand me, im german and i used google translator^^
Thank you for this vido on Eraser and pencil thisvido show what is the best eraser and also the differens in the eraser When i thought i no ever thing about eraser there something new.
I use a "gummy" eraser. The ones that are really gooey feeling but as similar or near identical to the putty eraser. I got it from "General's" brand in a arts and crafts store. It really is good.
one thing i would like to add is that ALWAYS!!! use SHARP PENCILS, the pro way is about an inch long or little more and using a knife instead of a pencil sharpener. pencil sharpeners are much better for color pencils. you can try the Design Kneaded Rubber Eraser instead, works flawlessly.
Cool. But the eye is not right. It´s seems to be like a "middle of the forehead eye", the real eyes are not so symmetric. You never darken the caruncula (the inner side of the eye) au contraire, you have to lighten it to mark the rosy point.
One day I tried to erase with Fun Tack (blue putty thingy) and it worked pretty well. I was using his same technique. However, it's a bit too soft so it cannot be shaped in a chisel.
The editing, With the screen going dark is to slow, And done to often

Very nice tutorial!
I just did a line drawing in my daily vlog where I document my journey through art school!
The use of the eraser helps out a lot, apply some pencil, then use the eraser to basically "add white" to an area!
Thanks again for the tutorial!

hmmmm during my school days I have stolen thousands of rubbers or "erasers" as you call them.....so that makes me somewhat of an expert,
none of your erasers are worth stealing.

The putty eraser soon gets dirty and you have to buy a new one. But still it's the best eraser of all.

I prefer the hard pencil erasers to the softer paper erasers because they give me a harder line that's easier to manipulate.
Personal preferences I guess :-)

Never use a school pencil.
It's not professional.
littlepicassogirl07 3 years ago
i use a school pencil for all of my drawings.... and they turn out fine
DelTacoCrazy 3 years ago
A school pencil is no different than the 2B pencil that comes with any kit of drawing pencils. That's why it's called a number 2 pencil.
WayneXBond 3 years ago
I prefer technical pencils myself. I'm a sucker for the sharp point. Too much work in a regular pencil :-P
