  • OMG I remember that eraser from my childhood! I would always pick at the eraser though =( But it was the most badass eraser ever!

  • I tried drawing, but drawing dumb simple things took 3 hours, and I didn't have patience for simple things taking 3 hours =(

  • Any art supply store and there like 99 cents

  • where do u buy putty erasers and how much r they

  • Very nice tutorial!

I just did a line drawing in my daily vlog where I document my journey through art school!

The use of the eraser helps out a lot, apply some pencil, then use the eraser to basically "add white" to an area!

    Thanks again for the tutorial!

  • @ArbyandSethFilms the best drawing i made were a stick man ...

  • i love this man,very good teacher!!!

  • i,ve always used a rubber to help with shading or indeed a finger to spudge but this looks to be easier with a better effect, but i would love to see you do a marc bolan pic i,ve been trying but cant get the hair right or bring out his charactor, one of the reasons for watching this

  • I had gerat luck to get a wonderful teacher of art in the school. She teaches me very much in the 10 jears of my schooltime. She's strange but still cool. she was really talented and i always want to draw, sketch, paint like her. We did linocut, screen printing, sculpture and so on. Educated by her was the best thing in 10 jears of school. Hope you understand me, im german and i used google translator^^

  • @AlexandraVioletta its years lol not jears XD

  • @bribrimichaeljackson

I am NO NATIVE SPEAKER... I'm from germany...

  • @AlexandraVioletta I don't think that they were trying to be mean, you speak our language far better than we could speak yours. Just a bit of fun ;P

  • @AlexandraVioletta jears?

  • The putty eraser soon gets dirty and you have to buy a new one. But still it's the best eraser of all.

  • I like how u say eraser

  • lots of good tips on how to use that kind of eraser and i like the tips on chiseling the pincel [cant remember if that was this video or the 1st one]

look forward to watching the rest of your videos

  • You should make a website/forum.

  • He does have one. It is on his YouTube page. :)

  • I prefer the hard pencil erasers to the softer paper erasers because they give me a harder line that's easier to manipulate.

    Personal preferences I guess :-)

  • WOOOOOOOOOOT!!!! ur a leftie xD so am i hahaha. sorry i thought i would just point that out. oh and i love your accent. thanks for the tips

  • hes unique

  • Never use a school pencil.

    It's not professional.

  • i use a school pencil for all of my drawings.... and they turn out fine

  • A school pencil is no different than the 2B pencil that comes with any kit of drawing pencils. That's why it's called a number 2 pencil.

  • I prefer technical pencils myself. I'm a sucker for the sharp point. Too much work in a regular pencil :-P

  • Thank you for this vido on Eraser and pencil thisvido show what is the best eraser and also the differens in the eraser When i thought i no ever thing about eraser there something new.

  • Thanks! I'm going to check out your other videos.

  • I use a "gummy" eraser. The ones that are really gooey feeling but as similar or near identical to the putty eraser. I got it from "General's" brand in a arts and crafts store. It really is good.

  • thanks! i still find those hard after probly tens of times

  • when u said "mini sketches" i thought of simple trees. (im that bad) little did i know your "mini sketches" can be put in a mueseum!

and this makes me want to take out my old brown-gray (i used it and kneaded it a lot :D) puuty eraser now ^^

  • putty, oops

  • one thing i would like to add is that ALWAYS!!! use SHARP PENCILS, the pro way is about an inch long or little more and using a knife instead of a pencil sharpener. pencil sharpeners are much better for color pencils. you can try the Design Kneaded Rubber Eraser instead, works flawlessly.

  • Cool. But the eye is not right. It´s seems to be like a "middle of the forehead eye", the real eyes are not so symmetric. You never darken the caruncula (the inner side of the eye) au contraire, you have to lighten it to mark the rosy point.

  • where could i buy this ?

  • brill

  • hey nice video ... thumbsup

im left handed too :) but cant draw smooth ... im a bad "drawer" whatever /cheer

  • Thank you!

  • One day I tried to erase with Fun Tack (blue putty thingy) and it worked pretty well. I was using his same technique. However, it's a bit too soft so it cannot be shaped in a chisel.

  • super awesome--I never knew to use the putty eraser to dab!

  • tank u XD
