i've been a huge fan of the UK version since it came out in '07 and nothing will ever beat the original for me. but to be honest, people were way too hard on the US version. after a few episodes it went off in it's own direction and ended up being pretty different than the original. the acting was good and the writing was fantastic. it's a shame that people never embraced it. it's OK to like both the UK and US versions, it doesn't make u a traitor to the original

US Skins fans need to stop defending the US version if they haven't seen the UK version. The UK show is better PERIOD. I'm AMERICAN & I say this. Watch the UK version on Netflix if you disagree. You can't put shit on US television so it's not realistic. You can get away with tons more in the UK so it's more realistic with the sex, nudity, drugs, drinking, cursing, etc. The kids in the UK version are ugly and poorly dressed like how real people are. Not glammed up versions of who we want to be.
