nowadays it's like that. You dial 911 and your on hold for who knows how long. Today they tell you to keep waiting til they answer. But if it were me and it were life-threateningly important, I would have hung up and dialed directory assistance.

The father was an EMT or something, y is it that he never trained his kids in CPR and other first aid procedures. hes not setting a good example.

no one should ever be on hold when calling 911 because someone can be having a life threatning emergency like a heart attack or asthma attack and cutting them off from valuable resources that could save their life but cutting them off could kill them since help woulndt arrive in time

I went to school with David Duvall's older brother Steven. Steven saved David.

Now, finally, I understand why 911 is not on the air. Society has become too ready to blame others for their own mistakes = litigation. If their rescue attempt, patterned after the show, didn't go well, someone would sue... How sad. How very sad.

once my mom saw a car accident outside of her office and she called 911 and was on hold for 10 minutes. she hung up and called back and was on hold for another 10 minutes. She ended up calling my uncle, who is a lieutenant at the sheriff's office, and he got a squad car and an ambulance. 911 called back 30 minutes later, and my mom told them like it was. lol.

Who knows? All I know is that they should bring it back to TV & DVD, and maybe even make some new episodes. This is the one show that should never be cancelled. It empowers people to make a difference in someone else's life, for the better.

I only know a few episodes of Rescue 911 that did take place here in the state of Nebraska.

I don't know why they stopped making this show, considering how many lives have been saved because of it. It's just like America's Most Wanted only instead of catching criminals, it's saving lives.

Yeah, I think you're right, Allgood...back then, some of the only really popular reality shows were this and "The Real World"...reality TV never really became that huge of a phenomenon until maybe in 2000 when "Survivor" came out...I could be wrong

I guess when you think about it though, most modern reality shows are probably cheaper to produce than Rescue 911. Most of them don't involve complex stunts and whatnot.
