i get to ride a 700xx tonight, and needless to say i am pretty exited, but from what i have heard they are a pain to ride, and do not jump very well, due to the independant rear suspension
@MrRandomfatdude Not true, I just bought one. I have launched it and the landing is so soft, its awesome. Plus if you land a little uneven the IRS compensates for it instead of getting jerked all over or lord forbid bending your axel. I say it jumps great. And I am a jump lover!
@08trx700xx This whole vid was made with the ATC 2000 helmet camera which is why the quality is so bad. I can't wait to ride too, Pred 500 and XX? Should be a good time!
Why do people post videos of this quality? It gives me a headache just trying to watch it, much less listen to the music. Either get a real camera and a steadycam or stand still.
i havent seen the bear claws i will check into that, and btw i watched some of your vids and saw the comments on if the 700xx will out run the 700r a friend of mine has one and we were neck and neck when i was stock and he was running his power commander with no spark arrestor. i could slowly pull away from him on top end but now that ive added a few things it no contest.
ive thought about some aftermarket shocks, i just recently added a powercommander, k&n air filter and yoshi exhaust so i would say the shocks will be the next step since i cant find a set of tires i like.
Maxxis makes razrs for out quad. I currently run Kenda Bear Claws for traction in rough terrain and mud. They're great for that but if you're jumping I'd get the razrs. Either will work, look at my other vids. You'll see one of me jumping 2 table tops, I'm on the Bear claws in that one. I dont recommend going taller than a 22" or 23" tire though!
this video is hot. i love my 700xx. i used to have a raptor n i like the trx alot better. the irs sucks sometimes cuz its hard to do donuts and drift like u can a straight axle. you just have to shift ur weight alot more n try not to flip.
I just bought the trx700. really the only quad ive ever been on, went on one for about 5 mins before this one. anyway my girl has a yz450. hers is fun for donuts and drifting but the trx is way more comfertable and feels much safer/stable. so happy with my purchase. I didnt have enough experience on a quad to make a real decision upon purchase but so, so glad i got the trx instead.
IRS stands for Independent Rear Suspension. You'll hear people talk about SRA or IRS. SRA is Solid Rear Axle or Straight Rear Axle, take your pick. IRS will give you better handling in rough terrain where the ground is uneven. SRA is much better for MX(motocross)
Thank you sir. IRS took a few very short rides to adjust to. Its just like SRA only better once you're fully adjusted. Those that trash IRS are just afraid of it because they can't ride it!
Good vid

no matter what go with razrs, they do excellent in any terrain and here not too expensive and are durable

I have the 700xx and it is by far the smoothest quad ive had. I love the IRS it lands soft and and hangs the curves like no other.

If you ever have money to throw around I highly recommend the ishocks. I had the +2 front end on my 400ex, after market shocks are unreal!!!

I think you're right, the irs isn't easy. If you lean and ride aggressive she'll drift for sure.
